I am getting the weirdest problem trying to call NVC from abroad. First of all, since about 3 months ago, Magic Jack hasn't let us call NVC without paying extra, so we have been calling from our landline here in Nicaragua. The last time I did this, I had no problem. But today, I called and got the regular message, pressed 1 for English, and was waiting listening to the music for about 15 minutes, when all of a sudden I heard this beeping noise and static and a message came on saying something like "Congratulations! You are caller number 15 on Web Radio's power hour and you have just won a Carribbean cruise!" Later, they told me to press 1 to confirm I was over 18 and claim my prize.

Needless to say, I hung up and tried NVC again. The next time I got through, the same thing happened. What's going on? Has NVC been hacked? Or could it be something strange with our Nicaraguan phone service provider?? The thing that makes me think the problem's in the U.S. is that the message was in English.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Well, did you win the cruise?

All last week when I tried calling, I only got through once and calling them made my phone act so weird. I waited on hold for 45 minutes until the call just dropped or hung up. I tried calling back and it gave me a recording saying to please call back later. Yesterday when I finally got through, I was on hold about 10 minutes when it made a very static-y noise then hung up. I finally got through to a person later.

Something similar happened to me. I am using Skype to call NVC, it is happening since from 2 days. When the call get connected at every 1 minute and 08, 19, 24 seconds static sound like a radio disturbance comes and call get disconnected. It was very annoying. It is very difficult to reach NVC and on the top of that this horrible problem. I hope we should be fine to contact NVC because we really need NVC to speed up our process and do our work carefully.

I think this is happening because it's holiday time for them.

Wow, you guys are all lucky.

When I tried to call NVC months before for more than 10 times in different days with more than 4 different phones, they always gave me a reply of something like 'Please call back later.'
