I am beyond livid! Our case was approved on September 18th 78 days ago. I have done everything and more that the NVC and USCIS has asked me to do. I even have my congressman involved and they can't even get an answer. But yet its ok for all of these ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS to just walk in here. Here we are sitting and waiting for our loved ones doing the RIGHT THING and all of these illegals just walk in here with not even a slap on the wrist. Is anyone else going through what we are going through????

Well 74 days but yea I feel so bad for you! How completely frustrating and even more frustrating not to get any real answers! Your NOA2 has an expiration date. Are they extending that? I'm at a loss as to any advice to give you. Did they lose ur file?

No they have not given me an answer as to if they lost it. I keep getting letters from USCIS that they will locate it and send it to the NVC ASAP. Then I received a another letter in response to my service 4th service request saying that my letter will be forwarded to the NVC in the next 2 weeks. That was 3 weeks ago. I literally think I have an ulcer in my stomach now from all of this stress.

I can just imagine! So very stressful! I truly hope they figure out something and fast!! There was a thread awhile back about delays and problems with NVC taking so long. I'll see if I can find it. Maybe there is Something in there that may help.

My prayer chain increases everyday! Try ur best not to get too upset ...

Quit crying. At least you are at the CSC. Want to trade places and be at the TSC?

There's no need to be unpleasant. We are all here to support each other and share advice. As has already been pointed out to you, there were at TSC and then got transferred. Furthermore, although CSC does process quicker, they are typically not very efficient when it reaches the NVC stage, and this is where us CSC-ers get to play the waiting game, whereas TSC is far more efficient at getting petitions to NVC.

Everyone going through this process is away from their loved one and ultimately that puts us all in the same boat. Compassion goes a long way. Bitterness, however, does not.

OP-- I am so sorry to hear what you are going through and I will keep you in my thoughts, I hope it gets sorted ASAP!

Thank you everyone for the nice comments. I have come to a point in this whole process that it is effecting my daily life, even work. I walk around with a scowl on my face, which I've never done before. This whole process has been such a disappointing let down. It's nice to see people care and can relate.

I 100% agree with you. It's appalling to know that over 5 million illegals will be rewarded with free green cards and EADs. I think all of us who did it the legal way should be reimbursed by the government all of our K-1, CR-1 and AOS fees. If the law-breakers are to be given free green cards and EADs, our loved ones should to, right? Or if they wont reimburse us, how about automatic US citizenship for our loved ones?

All rants aside though, 78 days must feel like an eternity, and I feel your pain. Ours took 96 days for a reply, so hang in there. The bright side is that you are being handled by the CSC, so hopefully you will hear something soon! Good luck!

Sure, here:

Basically if an illegal registers, they get a 3 year conditional pass in the USA (much like a K-1 spouse) as well as an EAD.

Rorysspeed,

I know exactly what you mean! I have made steps to break this loop of sadness. I have started to go to the gym everyday to relieve that stress, I meal prep most of my meals now for 3 days out. I also have set notifications to only check website once a week every on Sunday! Don't let this process control you and allow it to effect your everyday life. Use it to re focus on your other personal goals! I've lost weight and am becoming more lean. Heck I've even kept my checking of VJ to a bare minimum but i do check the progress of similar timelines ;)

I would like to think that we will ALL be with our loved ones in due time. Take this waiting time and use it to grow your relationship through communication if possible and use it to grow your self and also to prepare your home for when you loved one eventually comes.

Cheers

I understand your frustration :) This is how we felt, we did everything and beyond. But this is just the way it is. At least you know that you will be just fine! You wont face any major problems and no one will stop you from being with your spouse :) Yes the waiting sucks but it sure is worth it, right?

You may have a distorted view on illegal immigration though. It is not easy for them to immigrate illegally. They are troubled with way more problems than us legal immigrants are, I can guarantee you that. Law, no way to work legally, fight to get a legal status, anxiety over anxiety - not knowing what will happen anytime soon. Trust me there are illegal immigrants living here without a GC for years and years... it's not THAT easy to become legal. Even though the media makes it seem easy, it is not. There are tons of requirements they have to meet.

On the other hand you just wait patiently and your wait time is a cake compared to their problems (escaping from their country and finding an illegal way to stay, hide etc.) Would you not agree? We went the legal way and it is the biggest pleasure to know that we did everything right and nothing can ever stop us :) Trust me, it's more than worth it.

I hope you wont wait much longer!
