First of all...

So...I really don't know how to help you! It seems like a courier trouble, and here in Brazil we have a different courier for embassy deliveries...but do you have a kind of central building of this courier in your town? And a track number?mbecause you can go there and check it out...

I'm really sorry you're passing through it, hope everything gets solved quickly.

Thank you... I hope so too. I would think the embassy would have a tracking number, but they haven't shared that information with me.

My husband went to the courier's office in his state last week, before we knew for sure that it been given to the courier, and they told they didn't have anything in the system associated with him, but they would text him when they did... I think the information I put in ustraveldocs.com never got to the courier, but I don't know what to do about it.

Did you run into any issues with the names not being an identical match between your passport and forms? The instructions state to list all the names in your passport. Maybe I am mistaken, but I think using all of his names may also help differentiate him between anyone else that may have the same first and last name as him still living in Egypt.

Never had an issue with forms acceptance during the past 25 years, though I had more than my fair share of APs. You're right... Listing all names as in passport is probably a smarter thing to do... it removes the doubt and possibly reduces the chance of common name related APs.

YUP! that's exactly how I am now......called NVC again and nothing yet. got in on the 7th try and was on hold for 30 minutes. not bad today. I'm so anxious!!

So this time the rep asked if i had submitted the DS-260 and i said yes. she then said that it was 60 days from when that was submitted as well, which for me would be Oct. 18. Had never been told that before. Anyway, she also confirmed my scan date is 10/21 so i'm really hoping to have CC by end of week. Come one NVC keep them rolling in!

That's the first time I hear that one! I don't think it's true though, as I submitted my DS-260 on Oct 1 and it was reviewed Oct 24... and also a few members that completed the DS-260 after sending the packages (because their IV fee took a while to unlock) still got CCs around 60 days from scan date. But - I guess you never know what they're doing at NVC right now.

I find it weird that they asked you if you'd submitted it, since it should show in their system that it's already reviewed. Eh. One way or another, it's cominggggg, come on NVC!

Thank you! Question for you since your husband is Egyptian, when completing forms for him, how was his name provided? My husband has 5 names, his first/given name, then his fathers, grandfathers, and great grandfathers names, and finally his family/surname. Does your husband have multiple names like my husband? If so, where did he apply the names for his father, grandfather and great grandfather? Was it with the given names or the surnames?

Thank you so much! It might not be an expedite approval, but it certainly feels good to start to move forward again!

Hello, yes my husband uses four names his Surname isn't even on his ID so he doesn't use it. So what I did is like this let's say my husband had five names I would do the following. Not his name just using what comes to mind, Mohammed Zain first name middle name Ahmed Mohammed, last name Elsayed it worked for us just fine. :D hope this helps you out. t4582.gif

I'm a little bit confused so I mentioned Soloenta in the other thread thinking it was this one...lol

Anyways...there's a CC in the other thread...and the scan date was....October 20th!!

OMG!

Hahaha good that way they wont forget me. heheheheee and WOW we are getting close people! Wooooo Hoooo! t5063.gif127fs2361263.gif

Hellooo everyone,hw r we holding up,the process makes days look like century ,worst for those of us that are miles away from our spouses,i think the process is better off if the spouses are together while d process goes down

Still be encouraged, its only for a while

For the cc ,congrats to uuu all and dnt forget to mention us in ur tiny prayers for super deliverance

Wow!!dnt no if am the only one that has observed that even asknvc or inquiry email response is also 60days making it the worst means to inquire abt one's case as its almost like waiting for the real case review.

Hmmmm!!the psychological stress the whole process gives, leaves u wondering if it wudnt hv bn better to marry the d guy or lady next door esp if ur real rizn for immigration is for luv and to b reunited with spouse and not to hv us residence permit

Well, said cant wait to b able to sleep well at night, esp when ur marriage have bcome over the phone and the real essence is missed greatly

God in his infinite mercies should please help us through it all and gv us shortened and sucessful outcome

Amen

Awww I like that thank you Senator Mel, lovely and encouraging words and lovely prayer :) ty t5063.gif

Hi Maharosa! I'm not from Egypt, now even my husband, but here in Brazil it's common we have a lot of families name (I have my first name, my grandmother mom side family name, my grandmother fathers side family name and my grandfather father side family name). Anyways, in my passport, all of those names are considered last names/surnames (so I have 3 surnames). I don't have middle name and my first name is only one. So, I think you should check your husbands passport because it might have a hint there, and you fill the forms exactly like it says in the passport.

Hope I could help. :)

Yes I agree names have to match passport but in Egypt they are all bunched together not separate like in South America and most of the world. But if a name is missing on the passport etc then must be exactly like the passport like e&g posted. :D

I hope that those waiting from second week get CC soon!

Soloenta my dear... Dare we hope for good news before the weekend? Come on... don't spoil our Christmas!

My dearest friend MoBar I'm afraid to hope but deep down inside there is a spark! Hahaha yes it would make it a great Christmas for sure I think I'll be able to smile again.

I had a thought, when I was told I had CC so long ago I felt numb, not grateful, not a shred of happiness in my soul. I think God did this to make me understand I should be grateful for every little bit he brings my way. I'm ashamed I wasn't happy and grateful for the gift that was given me. So God made it go poof! I'm not a fanatic but as they say in my country of birth, not even the leaf of a tree moves without the will of God. :D And on that note. 127fs2361263.gift5063.gif Woooooo Hoooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't stop checking CEAC site!!! *sigh* I really need to quit it. Today that I called NVC, they said my scan date is 10/21 so who knows if it's 10/21 or 10/23. Email said 10/21; prior rep said 10/23.

Hahahaa your so cute, why not it's not like your going to make the site go down hehehee shhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'm doing the same thing 2 to 3 times a day don't tell anyone on this thread I said so. :D127fs2361263.gift5063.gif Just checked, nuttin. :( heheheeeee

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I found 2, abutalha and brijakash, both for AOS checklists. Where's the third? Have you seen any for AOS+IV packages? Also omg that is actually more progress than I expected for today!!! Amazing! :hehe: I'm freaking out twice as much now. I know you're keeping the 10/23 date in mind for sanity but I'm pretty sure they're going by the earlier date on their emails... any time now!!

Soloenta I'm sure you WILL get good news before this week is over!!!

Thank you my friend I pray your right, would be a prayer come true and finally light at the end of the tunnel. t5063.gif

Laurenmat received CC and their scan date for both packages was 10/20! On page 40 in NVC Filers thread. Forget the 10/23 date! I have officially lost it and keep refreshing the CEAC page lol.....I'm thinking of calling again later tonight just to check.

Hehee why :D don't forget to write down the name of the Rep you talk to please. Ty. :D:dance:

I wanted to share with everyone that NVC called me, almost 10 pm. It was regarding my request for supervisor review. It took 6 days for them to reply instead of 42 as they had told me. I asked if i got CC and the lady said "NO". :ranting: I still have to wait my 60 days. :clock:

I am planning to summit expedite request, I will let everyone know what happens.

Must try whatever necessary to hurry this waiting... :clock::clock:

I'll be praying you get your expedite! So sorry they are such jerks. :(t5063.gif

Ohhhhhhhh, I missed that one. AMAZING!!! Thank you! Just call NVC and ask them to stay on the line with you until you have a CC

Hi everyone. I haven't been involved in the nvc discussion for some time, as I was with my husband in his country in the weeks leading up to his interview. I remember some of you from nvc discussions in the summer though, like soloenta and samreen, and I'm glad to see that your processes are moving along.

Even though I'm not offically nvc any longer, I'm in need of some moral support and maybe advice if anyone has any.

My husband had his interview in November, the 13th, to be precise, and they told him it was approved and to sign up for an account on ustraveldocs.com to register for delivery... He couldn't figure it out, and asked me to do it, and finally I got some help here on VJ and created a profile for him on the 18th of November.

So we have been waiting anxiously for his visa, and started to get pretty worried last week... the embassy is really not anxious to give much information... when I first wrote to them they told me to contact the courier, but the phone number that they sent didn't work. After I pointed this out, and sent a few more e-mails, they told me to contact the customer service for ustraveldocs.com. MEanwhile the account on ustraveldocs says the embassy still has the passport. I called a few times, and was generally rebuffed, but finally someone in the American citizen services department said they would contact the visa people and find out what was going on. That was yesterday. A few hours later I got e-mail where they finally admitted that they had given the passport to the courier on the 17th of November, and reiterated that I would have to contact ustraveldocs customer service, that they (the embassy) can't do anything more... meanwhile, I have been trying to contact customer service... they don't answer the chat, at least not for 3 hours, and when you call the phone number the recording says it's not during their operating hours, even though it is. I sent them an e-mail explaining the situation, and got something from a no-reply address saying they had created an account with my e-mail address. (I used my husband's address for his account.) So I don't know what to do... does anyone have any ideas? Is there some state department phone number to address issues with ustraveldocs.com? Is there somewhere else on VJ I could post where someone might have experience with this sort of thing? I very disturbed that they couldn't tell me for 3 weeks that they had already given it to the courier... what a mess! what can we do?

WOW long time no see, happy to see you but sorry its under these circumstances. I agree the best thing to do is physically go to the couriers office and ask them face to face and take the e-mail if they e-mailed you that the Visa had been sent to them. That way they can't say its not true. If you can't get anything done by them I suggest you/husband make an appointment with the Embassy and go in and talk to them face to face and take any evidence if any that the couier is saying they have no information on the Visa. Nothing better than doing things face to face. I'll be praying this all works out quickly and please let us know what happens. Take a deep breath this will be fixed my dear friend. t5063.gif

I am knee deep in preparations as we leave this time next week - 18th Dec.

However I have just read through and caught up on the thread and Soloenta I can hardly breath with hope that you might get your CC by the end of the week. Come on girl - we need to get you out of here.

Samreen my heart is sinking thinking that you have to go through more stress and trouble. Still, hang in there, get them the documents and you will get your Visa soon.

Love to you all.

Xx
