Got checklist 3 weeks ago and no letter yet. Can I just send my corrected AOS without waiting my letter from NVC?

Yes , you should. I also did the same and got the scan date of 21st Nov. Even NVC Rep. told me to do the same

OK, call me dumb if you all know this already, but I didn't realise there were two ways into the CEAC portal.

If you type in ceac.state.gov it will automatically bring you to https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

On that page you'll see...

IMMIGRANT

If you click those options you can then submit your case details and see your status, payment status for AOS/IV etc.

But if you go to https://ceac.state.gov/IVinstead, you get a different portal. You submit your case details there too, but the information is presented differently.

The reason I mention this is that I was watching the first one for the AOS "PAID" to change to "N/A" so I'd know I had gone Case Complete. But when I went Case Complete it didn't change - and still hasn't. It's only when I go through the second portal that I see "N/A" next to my AOS fee.

This probably isn't news to you guys, but I thought it might be useful in some cases.

Thanks for this info, Trippy!

Hi Saylin,

Could we please put the https://ceac.state.gov/IV URL up on the wiki so that it helps other users? I was also checking the first one and it never changed. Found out about my case complete through the email 10 days later. Thanks~

Spousal visa interviews aren't conducted in Beijing, they are only conducted in Guangzhou.

Thanks for the information Ryan~

Scan date: Oct. 20th for both packages, TheBigO's calculations were: anywhere between Nov. 30-Dec. 12, probably closer to the higher end. Good luck everyone! :D Congrats and happy for all the CCs!!! :)

It's already on there. I have the links to both the online forms portal as well as the payment portal.

Do you have to send the AOS information before you get billed the IV application fee? I am suppose to add the receipt payment for the IV fee in order to submit my I601a waiver.

DAY 41 AT NVC, AOS CHECKLIST OF OCT20TH, hope to see CC in the next 2-3weeks.

ANYBODY ELSE WITH OCT 20something CHECKLIST?

Hi, my scan date is 10/23 for both packages. I know there are three others on this thread with scan dates of: 10/21, 10/23, and 10/24. With you, we are now 5 (so far).

Whoot! Don't forget about me! We'll take them all down with one fall swoop of CC's for us all...they'll think it's the best day because our papers were so easy and quick to complete!!:rofl:

No but seriously - lets hope for all of us a quick and safe (no CC's) rest of journey. Be sure to let us all know once you hear something!!

Nope. IV fee is dependent on the DS-261 being sent, accepted, and added to the case file.

I think the rep you talked to just doesn't know what they are talking about I don't know anyone getting a checklist for putting in 0, 0,00 or none, leaving it blank yes and not always. This is just all to much, to be so unsure and knowing these people don't know what they are talking about can give you a nervous breakdown. I had one and it wasn't pretty on the phone with a Supervisor. Can you ask to speak to one to just make super sure they seem to know what they are talking about for the most part? Will as you know well be praying for you. t4582.gif

I know that I did NOT leave it blank...I typed 0.00 and got check list because according to the first rep I spoke with putting anything even a 0 in the 13 a box means you have a tax return for that year.

I could not believe that so I called and spoke with a second rep who walked me through filling in each error or box because I was about to have a breakdown myself. You know my situation Soloenta and I cannot afford another checklist. We are are on borrowed time as it is.

I am praying that you get your CC soon as well...((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))

To anyone reading this...please dont get nervous over my experience with the reps or the reasons for my checklist....I dont want to add to your misery . NVC checklists just seem to happen at times for no good reason.
