Unexpectedly we got an email telling us our interview date is NEXT WEEK 9th December is Sydney! We haven't even done the medical and we need to book flights today. Thankfully after reading the email from support @ ustraveldocs.com which says: (If you have not done the medical examinations, you may still attend the interview).

My questions is, the email also says in the beginning to log back into your account to view details but I don't see which account they mean. Could someone help? Any thoughts?

I kept getting this and gave up in the end. I couldn't get into the Portal of at least when I did there was no information. In the end I kept checking the CEAC website.

2014/9/12 - AOS Checklist accepted

2024/10/27 - called NVC to be advised last scanned document is now September 17th, an email I sent early August and they looked at on September 17th.

2014/9/17 - last scanned date. Waiting for a Case Complete.

2014/10/30 - CASE COMPLETE

2014/11/10 - Interview Scheduled

2014/12/23 - Interview - going to try to move up a week but we will see.

2014/12/2 - interview and APPROVED

2014/12/18 - Smooth and quick POE at LAX then onto JFK by domestic

Hi all

What a week. One days notice for interview and then two days later Visa is in my hand. It is over. Thank you Sydney.

Words cannot express my thanks to all my Visa Journey friends. You have all been amazing. Whilst I may be finished with it all my thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you. Let's not get complacent just because I am done. A few weeks ago I was in your position.

Thank you dwheels for your constant support and advice - you truly are an amazing individual.

I will check back here to see how you are all going but for the next few days I need to concentrate on the million and one things I need to do to get myself, two children and two dogs ready to leave Australia in 13 days. Couldn't risk anything happening to the boys, a Elvis and Casper so we are using a professional animal transportation firm. The kids and I - well we can just rough it!!

I can heartily recommend JetPets if you are looking around for a pet transport place. They moved our cat and I was REALLY impressed.

Ok this makes me feel so much better. We'll respond to the email with the interview date to confirm then start booking our tickets to Sydney for next week!

11/20/2014 - Called NVC and was informed of Case Complete!!

Medical - Scheduled for Dec 16th 2014

Interview

12/3/2014 - Email received with interview appointment for December 9th 2014

12/9/2014 - Interview went well but not approved because of birth certificate name change. Approval after fingerprint police form.

12/30/2014 - Medical and police check sent to embassy

Visa issued Jan 5th 2015 :D

5.5 months in NVC

8.5 months total

Just got my letter to say interview scheduled for 15th January 2015!!!!!!

I think I just woke my entire apartment building at 11:30pm by screaming for happiness!

Wow you got the letter already ! Congrats.

It just got emailed to me. So incredibly exciting because one of my colleagues has been totally rubbing it in my face that she got her L2 interview scheduled for the day after she called, and got her visa the same day. I've been thinking terrible, terrible expletive-filled thoughts every time she opened her mouth!

Hi,

Does anyone know to whom we request for preponing/rescheduling the interviews? I have been assigned a date of January 29th and I am thinking of taking my chances. I wrote to the consulate (Mumbai in India to be precise) and they responded me that they can not prepone the interview the case is still at NVC. They asked me to contact NVC and request them instead. I am confused, who assigns the dates? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the exact response from the consulate:

We are sorry to inform, but the post (U.S. Consulate Mumbai) cannot prepone your interview date, since the interviews are scheduled by the National Visa Center (NVC). Kindly contact the NVC and request them to reschedule your interview at an early date, since your case is still at the NVC. You may contact the NVC at: nvcinquiry@state.gov

My country is Aruba, but I have to travel to Venezuela, as it is the interviewing embassy, for my interview.

Do you hold Venezuelan citizenship as well or a resident status there? Or will you be just a visitor? Or because Aruba has no facility to interview?

just done talking to Todd, annnd yes, interview is scheduled for January 9 at 8:30 am.

CC NOV 25th

Interview scheduled Dec 3rd

Interview date Jan 9th
