Comments : Direct flight from Georgetown to New York JFK no delays plane landed on time. No harassment from immigration officers. Had a group of Indian nationals on flight which made processing take a little more time but I was coming into New York during morning rush hour. When I arrived at JFK terminal 4 parking was an ease. Went into the terminal and start looking around cause planed landed over an hour ago. Begin to see Caribbean Airlines stewards and start panicking, and maybe like 15 mins wife and son walked out no stress and no complaints. Hugs and kisses and we were on our way! Few hours in Brooklyn and back to Washington DC. Best of luck to anybody going through the process its long stressful was a backlog in the immigration system more stress.

Embassy Review : Wife was told to come back with me just to prove or marriage was not fraudulent all because I was a born American citizen despite the fact my father is Guyanese. Came down the end of February and was interviewed for over an hour, only asked my wife 4 questions at the end. The lady was Guyanese stern but nice and looked like she worked for the embassy for years. We were told to leave our marriage album and would hear something in two weeks. Went back home very sad but they did get back to us after the two weeks that we were approved. Visa was already there from the first interview and would expire in 6 months so had rush to get things in order for traveling before the visa expired.
Rating : Moderate

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
