Not all K-1 visas have the A# printed on them. Some countries print it on the visa and some do not.

That's true. Pakistan doesn't print it.

I am totally lost on this thread. Of course, I am lost many times here.

My wife is Filipino and came here by K-1 visa, and from Day 1, her NOA 2 she had an """A""" number, and had one through her AOS procedure.

It was replaced with her AOS number.,.,.,but she was K-1 visa, and had an Alien number through out the process.

I hope you make your flight!

Good Luck!

I said originally that we never received the NOA2.

A-Number is also there on NOA1

Not necessarily. On ours it says, "USCIS ALIEN NUMBER" and it's blank. There is no number.

well from what i am seeing the website has changed but here is the link to get another copy of NOA2

http://www.uscis.gov/e-request

That link doesn't work. Try this: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.do

Or this: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.do

Oh and by the way - she didn't pay the fee and she arrived today and is here with me now!!! So everything worked out and you definitely don't have to pay the fee!

Well of all things... I used the link some of you sent to request a new NOA2 (thank you so much for telling me about that page)! When I called USCIS about this back in the summer the woman on the phone tried to suggest that I must have changed my address. I haven't moved in 8 years, so no, it didn't change.

Now today I get an email from them where they actually admit they didn't send it! Why didn't they just tell me that back in the summer before sending me off to pay an unnecessary $400!? All I can say is thank God for this website - because without it I probably would have paid the $400. But because of it I saw that this same thing has happened to many other people and they got along just fine without this letter.

From USCIS:

On November 27, 2014, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-129F to notify us that you have not received your approval notice. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved. On June 25, 2014, we approved your Form I-129F, but an approval notice was not mailed. A request has been made to generate an approval notice. Please allow 30 days for delivery.
