While talking to a friend this morning I noticed, I'm getting depressed because of this wait.

I have the feeling my life is stuck for the moment, and I have no idea when it will get unstuck.

I am afraid of hoping for an "early" NOA2 because if it takes longer than the 217 days I will get more frustrated and more sad.

Anyone else feeling this way? I Just want to be able to move forward with my fiancé.

We're all feeling the same... We got an RFE on the 9th but the notice was received after ten days.. We just fulfilled the requirement and i had to send the package from here still not delivered yet.. Stupid fedex people delayed the shipment... I hope all of you get the approval without RFE...

I av honestly became an anxiety patient.. the fear and frustration is never ending.. The worst part is you never know whats going to happen and all your happiness and future depends on this decision.. Wish it was easier to just settle and live..

Anyway, Hopefully we will all get through this and join our partners soon..

Yes, 100%. It feels like my life is on hold and there's nothing I can do about it. Super frustrating. The constant questioning by family, friends and coworkers wears me down. I feel exhausted, angry and sad all at the same time.. I don't feel like myself anymore. The struggle is real.

We've gotta stick together on this thread to try to build each other back up when we feel like this.

Maybe we need a change of subject. Anyone have trips planned to see the fiance or other fun stuff going on? I'm going to London in June. We're going to see Taylor Swift (massive guilty pleasure) Daniel thinks that if she sees him, she will just HAVE to be with him. So I'm prepared to have the relationship end then lololol :rofl::rofl: Daniel just got back a month ago from his last time here before he moves!!! EEEK!!!

We were all prepared for the wait in the beginning... when we thought it was only 5 months.....

Now we're both anxious. Jonathan has already found a buyer for his house. I have our house ready for his permanent move in. We're ready... extremely ready.

We have been extremely lucky in that we're only a 12 hour drive away from each other, so we do get to see each other more than most people waiting on the K1. He was here for 3 weeks for Xmas, then my company paid to fly him down to New Orleans to join me for my work event for a week, and then he was just here 2 weeks ago (a surprise visit for my birthday! I didn't know he was coming!).

I'll get to see him again in July for another one of my work events in Hershey, PA (a week) then he'll come home with after me for another 2 weeks.

I was denied at the border once (and detained for 3 hours) so I have a ridiculous amount of anxiety when I cross the border to go see him. I just want this to be over and for him to become an official "yinzer" (Pittsburgher) :)

Shelley, why were you denied?

I didn't research enough and did a few wrong things. I was recently unemployed, so I enrolled in school full time. I took all online classes for a semester because we had the plan that since I wasn't working, I could go to Quebec and stay with Jonathan for 6 weeks (and do my school stuff online from there). Jonathan was coming down to Pittsburgh for 3 weeks during Xmas so we thought, I'd take all online classes, then I'll go up north for 6 weeks to stay with him and ride back with him for Xmas.

I had my Mom drive me half way to upstate NY and Jonathan came down to pick me up. We did this since I was riding back with him for Xmas. BIG MISTAKE. I didn't have any ties to the US. No job, No physical classes, No mortgage, No return ticket.

Before I left, I looked up how long I was allowed to stay, and 6 weeks was way under what was allowed (I think it was 3 months). So when I got to the border I told him the truth.... that I was staying 6 weeks and driving back with Jonathan for Xmas. I was detained for 3 hours. The officers were extremely... EXTREMELY horrible to me. I can't put into words how disgustingly awful I was treated. The whole time I was a mess and crying. I had to surrender back to the US. Luckily, my cousin was in upstate NY moving her in-laws to PA, so Jonathan had to take me the 3 hour drive back to where she was, and not the full 12 hour drive back to Pittsburgh.

The only good thing about what happened was that after I surrendered, I had to go back to the US side to the immigration office and the officers there were so nice and sympathetic. They were they first ones to tell us about the K1 visa.

So now....... EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to cross the border, my passport is scanned, and a flag comes up right away and they yellow ticket me to go into the immigration office. I have to pull over every time, get my car searched, and wait in the office on average around 90 minutes for them to decide if I can go through or not. :\ Needless to say, Jonathan comes to see me a lot more than I go to Quebec.

That sounds horrible, Shelley. I would be very nervous and hesitant to cross the border again, too.

Well, I decided to do some snooping on the case tracker app and someone with a receipt number about 80 below mine, so probably the same NOA1 date as me, was approved 3 days ago. That sucks.

both my fiancee & i were denied into each other's countries (me into Canada when she was there) and her into the US (while she was in Canada)...so now any time she comes here or i try to go to Canada its such a hassle...a few years ago she visited the US from Hong Kong for christmas and we went up to Canada for 3 days with her family...she was very close to not being let back in and i was just sitting there nervously as our flight time got closer and closer...

as much as i'd love her to visit again before the visa is approved for an extended period, with this on her file and her leaving her job soon, i don't see how they'd let her back in :(

The Canadian officers are absolutely horrible. I've visited Canada for ages - even back when you didn't need a passport! Even when I go into Canada for work I'm treated like a criminal. It blows my mind that though US/Canada has open borders agreements that you are still given the 3rd degree as a USC. Canadians coming to US are rarely ever treated like that.
