Thx for the answer!

1. My husband paid 2 fees

2. everything was in the same package (we filed two petitions), in the first petition we checked "Are you filing for any other member from your family"

3. we have 2 case numbers

my daughter is 14 years old

i tried to google it and check here but i didn't find anything :( i keep trying

my husband called the uscis number but there is only a robot, how do i get a human on the phone?

i posted this question in thread you mention but i got no reply so i decide to ask here, sorry if im in the wrong place

That sounds like you did everything right then. I tried searching VJ for combinations of wife/stepson, wife/stepdaughter, wife/child etc and there are a lot of results, maybe you can go through those. :( Here are a few threads that might have some info...

Sorry, I have no idea about getting a human because I never had to call USCIS. I think they reply to emails, though! I saw you were approved 10/28, another thing to do in about 1-2 weeks is call NVC and ask if they received your case, and check if they have any info on your daughter.

Your very welcome doll hahahaa I should have put on the first page introduce yourself as new since my brain is fried from the immigration process hahaa! t4582.gif :D

To all of you in his tortuous process. HOPE.

Amen sweet heart :)introduce yourself as new since my brain is fried from the immigration process

EOC! Your interview is tomorrow! :wow::wow::wow:

I hope everything goes well! :star: Fingers crossed!

Me to, praying all will go well and you can bring us more good news tomorrow. :)introduce yourself as new since my brain is fried from the immigration process

Does anyone know how long does it take to review the NVC documents? I know the nvc are swamped (at least thats what they said) but its ridiculous that they cant even give me any info about my petition other than I have to wait for 60 days. Today is my 55th out of 60 days since scanned date and the operator told me to call them back next month! So mad right now!!

Call again if they say the same thing ask to speak to a supervisor if they aren't at their desk call again in half an hour. They say they will leave a message but they never do so you will have to call back and insist. Good luck and I'll be praying for you on this side of the screen. t4582.gif

hi,

i posted this couple days ago but i didn't get an answer, so i try to ask here, maybe someone can help me cuz this is REALLY stressing me out...even more than the uscis process :(

My hubby filed I-130 for me and my daughter, USCIS assigned two case numbers. My case was approved couple days ago but i still didn't hear anything about my daughters case, send a e-request and got this for an answer " Thank you for your inquiry. Your case is currently being adjudicated. "

Now i'm confused, does it mean my case is shipped to nvc but my daughter is still at USCIS? How does it work? Maybe someone can help me out here, i'm so stressed out :(

PLEASE HELP ME

You really need to call and ask them to be really sure or have your husband call. Please let us know what happens, I have seen this before and it works out in the end but is very stressful while it's going on.

Oh and graphics-welcome-010883.gif to the thread! :D Now just relax we are here to hold your hand through this madness.

There seem to be some tricks to get a live person at the USCIS number (your husband should request to speak to a Tier 2 person):

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/386995-how-to-talk-to-tier-2-uscis-officer/

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/471007-how-to-speak-to-a-person-at-uscis/

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/293330-calling-uscis/

How to talk to a live person at USCIS?

Contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283.

Call early in the morning (8.00 am)

Option 1: Then dial 1, 2, 6, 2, 4 (exact sequence). Use these options every time you are prompted.

(You can also try - 1 - 2 - 1 - Case Number - 1 - 3 - 3 or 4)

Option 2: Call USCIS and Do not press anything (don't choose a language). They will think you have a rotary phone and will transfer you directly to a live person.

Option 3: Don't don’t choose the number for “case status”, but do different ones instead (for example “RFE”; “expedite your case”, …)

Option 4: Military Help Line: 1-877-CIS-4MIL (1-877-247-4645); Members of the military and their families may call to receive assistance with immigration-related questions.

Don't worry, you won't get a robot at NVC... buuuuuut keep in mind that it's normal to have to redial 20-50 times (line busy) and then be on hold for around an hour. Nothing about this process is easy or fun. :bonk: It's also worth noting that while USCIS will only talk to your husband (the USC), both of you can call NVC.

Edit: maybe you can message this member that just posted in the other thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/520888-nvc-filers-november-2014/page-18#entry7326039

If Saylin didn't answer your question, that means she may not know the answer. :dead:

If Saylin doesn't know, it means this question is a rather complicated one. Sorry, I wish I knew the answer.

Hey Austin my friend hows it going? Are you getting ready for the big day? I know you wont have any problems at all but saying prayers to cover all bases. :Dcrossing-oneself-christian-smiley-emotic

Soloenta and everybody. I m shaking with excitement and shivering. My AOS has changed to n/a!!!!! I was crying and shaking when I called my husband. We just confirmed it with Nvc. I called them and the girl Carla I think was so sweet. I almost started crying and she said we r still scheduling for dec and I have my fingers and toes crossed for u that u get a dec interview. I m so so so happy I can't tell u all. Soloenta I have u in my prayers!! Cuz I think that's what worked including mine. I love u so so much and I want ur cc this month really!!! I still have tears falling and I m feeling too emotional. My scan date was sept 10 or 11 if anybody doesn't know it yet lol!!

Congratulation samreen23!!! I am soooooooooo happy for you on your CC, been following your case for a while and glad you are done with NVC and waiting for interview.

My interview date is on 25 Nov 2014. Wish you best of luck!!!

All I can add is that things *seem* to be speeding back up at the NVC. From June until last month I would spend anywhere from 30-45 minutes trying to get through the busy signals and into the automated system then another 30-60 minutes on hold waiting for a live person. That has cut down to 2-10 redials and as short as 10 minutes but never more than 25 on hold at various hours. It would also appear that they are getting faster on the paperwork side or at-least smarter based on my experience with resubmitting a document which generated the 60 day review notice, but instead they reviewed the updated document on the same schedule as one i had submitted already when that other documents date arrived.

So how long did it take them to review the updated documents and when was that?

And graphics-welcome-010883.gif to the thread. :D
