Can I send in my spouse and child I-130 and G325a and all the other paper such as passport photos and my G325a and money orders together in one package or do I have to send the off separately. The reason I ask this is I hope for them to be received at the same time and hopefully be processed at the same time. I understand that they will probably be two different case numbers but my child is only 2 years old and see has to come with her mother my spouse can anyone tell me if there is a chance that they can be processed as one case it does not make since that that be processed at different times because my spouse can't and won't come without our child can anyone tell me how they will treat this . Thank you in advance for your help.

Send them together and they will probably be linked. If not they can be merged at the NVC stage. Remember the information a child needs for the I-130 is different than what the spouse needs. Remember to read the instructions. :D

Thank you for your help .I would like to tell you something though today i was at the catholic social services because this woman did all my translations and she works with immigration every friday and she told me that even though the instructions say you only need a G325a for you and your spouse sometimes the case worker will ask for it even thought it is not required she said it is better to have and not need it than to have your case held up because some case worker say they want it

Tell me if I am correct but the difference I see is that a G325a is not required for the child and you have to send in a copy of you marriage certificate to the child's mother or father which ever the case and show that a relationship was formed before the childs 18 birthday and also show any divorce certificate if ether was married also send in copy of child birth certificate .I am a stepparent so my name is not on birth certificate so the marriage to their mother qualifies me and all the children are under the age of 18 .I married their mom sept 15 2011 so sept 15 2013 will be 2 years of marrage. I beleiev i have everything but if you see something I forgot please tell me because I am sending it all out this Wednesday 4-24 13 thank you.

Okay for the spouse you need:

  1. Fee
  2. I-130
  3. G325a (one for each of you)
  4. passport style photo taken within last 30 days of each of you
  5. photocopy of:

  • Marriage certificate
  • your birth certificate/naturalization certificate/entire passport
  • any divorce certificates
  • evidence of a genuine, on-going relationship

For step child

  1. Fee
  2. I-130
  3. Photocopy of:

  • marriage certificate
  • your birth certificate/naturalization certificate/entire passport
  • Child's birth certificate
  • any divorce certificates

Write a cover letter that says what is in each petition and put on top of individual petitions.

Mail to the correct lockbox in ONE envelope (either phoenix or chicago) depending on your location as per the I-130 instructions

 Miss Niki is taking good care of you.

When I sent our 3 petitions they were each in their own assembled package with a clip holding each one together but sent within the same FedEx envelope. Each had its own cover page. Each could stand on its own in case it was separated from the others (which I know they were during different stages of the process) so make sure you send a full set of copies of the necessary items for each package. Don't think they will look through another package to get what they need if one is missing something. It won't happen.
