Hi guys i filed i 130 same time last May 2,2014 and i received a NOA 1 for my child and my spouse May 13, 2014. I received a email today saying that my wife petition has been approved. But I'm confuse why did they not approve my daughter's i130 same time as my wife since i mail it in one envelope and they have the same priority date. Is this normal? I'm just worried on my child's case. Please advise what should i do and help me.

Thank you

I'd say if you don't get it by the time your spouse's file makes it to the NVC, start calling the USCIS and asking what is up to a tier 2. You can also contact your congressman and ombudsman as you want these cases together at the NVC. Don't do anything with your spouse's case at the NVC (besides the DS-261) until the child's case reaches them as well.

You are welcome. They try to process them at the same time, and schedule the same interview date. Hopefully your child gets the approval soon!

if you got a piece of mail - postal mail -

why not check the status online at CRIS?

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do

you have 2 receipt numbers - punch em in and tell us what you see.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

give em some time - as you got in some auto-expedite queue - but

call in on Monday to USCIS - talk with an ISO [not the first person that answers the phone]

and inquire about the 2nd I-130.

getting an ISO is not a trivial thing .
