Great! The more it sounds better. Cause most of the recent CCs were packages that were sent separately which confuses us what scan date is used.

Yours is together which makes it officially processing an October scan date.

Thanks!

Thanks! yeah i call yesterday and they told me to wait until Dec, 2 but yeah i guess they are working on october now, hopefully your case complete comes today so you can celebrate thanksgiving:) :dancing::dancing:

The timing is great too as it is near interview scheduling. Likely you will get a Jan interview.

Am praying for a CC too.

Basically were just a day a part. October 3 should be next then October 6, cause October 4 and 5 is a weekend and I don't think there is a weekend scan date.

Well it is official CC as of Nov 25. Scan date is Oct 2, confirmed it with the rep. and without a checklist.

Big thanks to all VJ members for their support, especially Saylin for her due diligence and for the wiki,

Her free advice. You are a god sent angel. Hat off to the mods for a job well done. Now to the interview thread. To all of you who are waiting for CC I wish you the best of luck.

I also asked if they started scheduling interviews and the answer was not yet.

Well it's official. We got a checklist. They need my husband's W2 for some reason (did I miss that being necessary when we submitted his return?!) and my mother-in-law's i864a Section 1 to be filled out "completely". NOt sure what that's about. Is it because we left mailing address blank because it was the same as above? Is it because we left the "city" of her birth blank? There is no city it's unincorporated land in China.

So devastated.

I am the beneficiary. My husband is the petitioning USC.

So sorry to hear this. I was looking forward to your CC ):

They can ask for more evidence if they want (hence the request for W2)

In regards to your second question call them and ask specifically what's wrong with the form and what needs to be updated.

If you submit tax returns (instead of tax transcripts), then yes, W2s are required. You need to submit the entire tax return package (1040, W2s, 1099s, schedules, worksheets, etc). Basically everything that was sent to the IRS has to be sent to NVC.

As for section 1 not being completely filled out, without actually looking at the form, I'd say it's that city of birth being left blank. You'll probably have to write N/A in that spot, then I'd suggest writing a little paragraph about it in the cover letter, and for good measure, maybe even include a sticky note, right next to that question, explaining why there's no city.

And, you may also want to fill out the place of residence question as well. I know NVC was giving out checklists for this question being left blank on the I-864EZ, so it may be the same for the I-864A as well. But the checklist should tell you exactly what's wrong.
