9/15/14 - NOA1 Official notice date
9/18/14 - NOA1 hard copy received
12/9/14 - "Updated" likely because of website repairs, like many of us received
4/20/15 - NOA2 text and email (221 days)

4/29/15 - Sent to the NVC (9 days)

5/8/15 - Arrived at the NVC (9 days)

5/13/15 - Left the NVC (5 days)

5/15/15 - Electronic version arrived at the embassy (2 days)

5/20/15 - Paper copy arrived at the embassy (7 days)

6/4/15 - Status changed to AP (which meant that we could schedule the interview)

6/17/15 - K1 APPROVED!!!!

I found out the update for "September 18" doesn't do anything actually. My Fiance made request through their website and all we got was "As May 12, 2015 your inquiry about why case is taking longer than our processing time, referral number xxxxxxxxxxxTSC is currently not assigned for processing. Don't even know what does it mean *sigh*

And i asked my very patient fiance to call and talk to tier 2, I don't know what he did but he called and request an inquiry again through the person on the phone. He was told they would get back to us with the respond within a month "omg, really"

i here saw people talking to tier 2 got call back but my fiance just called and talked without callback, i guess he just called to regular

I spoke to tier 2 today and got the same response - "not currently assigned for processing". It doesn't sound good and I am really not sure what that entails.

What it means is that they have your inquiry on the system, but it's not yet been assigned to anyone to review it. This is the part they tell you can take up to 35 days.

Our service request had surpassed 30 days so when my fiancé called yesterday they said that they put us into immediate reviewing. Do you know if this is a thing or are they blowing smoke up our as$?

Ah, sorry, yes. I thought for some reason you had filed a service request.

It sounds like they are telling you that your petition is not with an adjudicator. But then, who knows what to believe. This is the same Helpline (HELPline? The irony :rofl: ) where we were told in January that our petition had been sent to Nebraska. An hour or so later a further call confirmed that it was magically in Texas. Who knew the mail service was that good!

I did, actually, file a service request. So now that you mention it - I am wondering if the person was talking about service request as opposed to the actual petition. Whatever the case may be, it seems like those "level 2" officers don't have much more information than first level phone drones.
