When filling in your timeline, please understand that all I-129F's are sent to the LOCKBOX in Texas, and then ROUTED (not transferred) to your ASSIGNED service center- the one in Texas "TSC" (not the same as the lockbox!), or the one in California "CSC". If your tracking number starts with WAC, you're at the CSC, you were not transferred! There are no transfers at this time. If your number starts with SRC you're at the TSC and that's where you will serve your entire sentence.USCIS isn't fair.

They don't care about you.

Actually- I'm just going to leave this thread because apparently trying to help is something not appreciated. Good

luck with your journeys.

JamesReneee-

Hey, no reason to react that way. We've all congratulated you on your approval and (at least in my case) it was sincerely done. Objectively, I hope you can understand why there is some skepticism regarding your story. And I don't know that anyone is doubting you per se, but I think what has rubbed a couple of people the wrong way was your advocacy of this approach being something that others could try to pursue as well. Again, I hope you can understand that.

Anyway, to that end I forwarded your story onto my local congressman's office, as I mentioned. I just got off of the phone with them to get their opinion on this deal. Their response was as I suspected: they said that this result is definitely not typical and is unlikely to be repeatable. I asked if she had ever done the exact same thing as you have described and she said "oh yes, I know several supervisors in the TSC. I can call any one of them I'd like." She went on to say that there must be extenuating circumstances to make such a call however. She said that the TSC expects to see some type of extreme situation be present such as terminal illness. Without that it was unlikely that the supervisors would do anything to help. Furthermore I specifically inquired about the "you're past 5 months, so approve me now" argument that your rep made on your behalf. She said that such an argument would not usually result in any action being taken. And with that, I feel that it's safe to conclude that your result is definitely atypical.

Again, we're all glad to see your result and we congratulate you, but respectfully, I would suggest that such an approach not be advocated as an option for other filers. FWIW.

I personally don't think that contacting your reps and senators are of much help in a particular case. However, I do think that it did help bring awareness in the difference of wait times between TSC and CSC. I might be wrong too... they probably did have an idea of the wait times and saw that the average wait time is 200+ days if you are at TSC and they just knew that it was going to keep getting longer if they didn't transfer some over to CSC. I don't think she was rubbing her approval on our faces... just an honest thought... and she's been waiting just as long as us.

None of us truly know how the system works! If we knew how to make our approvals come faster we would have done it by now.

My lawyer was going to file a request, since we passed the 6 month mark. Here is the result:

"Here is the response we got from USCIS on the case- since they are currently processing August 2nd we were unable to file service request. We note that it is unfortunately not unusual for the processing times posted online to not be accurate. Since your case was filed 9/19, you probably have another month and a half or so to go.

I will put a reminder in my calendar and we will follow up with USCIS again on May 15th is we haven’t heard anything by then."

I am hoping I hear something way before then, I will hope to hear something early April. If May 15th is in fact accurate, then I definitely need to reconsider that I could get married this September.

Wow our little thread has been quite popular lately with the mods. Six plus months of waiting and being lied to being ignored etc has a way of making people hostile speaking for myself personally. Honestly I think we all on this thread have done all that we can do and continue to do what we can. I am happy for everyone that's been approved here on this thread as we've faced this journey together and you guys have given me strengh when I didn't think I could go on. There are some on here that I am pulling for more than myself Avor8 you are definitely one. I hope we continue to uplift each other I really would hate to see the bond and connections we've build be destroyed. Just my two cents.

kaisara- Yup, that is the response I would have expected. Ya gotta wait until the "normal processing times window" has passed you by before they'll allow you to open a service request. Given your NOA1 date of 9/23, your lawyer isn't too far off of the mark, unfortunately. But as you mention, hopefully all of us September filers will have heard something by then!

Awesome news to hear our work wasn't in vain!!

It is. As posted in a previous thread today, I do believe that no matter what anyone says, all the efforts made by those dedicated to seeing a change in the dire situation at TSC has had some effect. Whether or not it was the tipping point, we will never know, but I'm giving credit to those who worked tirelessly to make a difference, knowing that they would likely not gain any personal benefit from their efforts.

We really appreciate all of the work that went into this, against the backdrop of some mocking, criticism and insults from some.

True. But we choose to believe that our wonderful fighters made a difference :)

We feel your pain. We heard this over and over. Despite this, William, my sweetheart, kept going back and trying again and again. I want to tell you not to let it beat you down, but also know that I'd by a hypocrite for suggesting this. So we will stand by you and support you as best we can until you get that notification.

I hope we continue to uplift each other I really would hate to see the bond and connections we've build be destroyed. Just my two cents.

As almost everyone on here probably knows, we were 'left behind' when late July/early August approvals were rolling in. So we started hanging out on the September thread and it has been a wonderfully supportive and encouraging group. We saw bickering emerge on the August thread about 6 weeks ago and I noticed it on the July filers' thread around a month prior. I think by this stage of waiting, everyone is at rock bottom and exhausted. Bottom line: a 6, 7 or 8 month wait is outrageously ridiculous and completely unreasonable. But we are going to stick with you guys to watch you get your approvals. You've been very good to us.

So will work get done at TSC since they are preparing these transfers. Not to mention today is Friday. I hate weekends now but I think I've mentioned that already. I am praying that the end is really near for us. Right now even a Rfe would be welcomed. I am rapidly losing my patience someone told me well you knew what you were getting into when you decided to get into a long distance relationship. This is why I only talk about this on VJ because I now have one less guest on my wedding list. Today is not the day I am way to emotional for this. If this process take any longer I won't be able to hold a conversation with anyone unless I'm properly medicated on xanax...lol

Actually- I'm just going to leave this thread because apparently trying to help is something not appreciated. Good

luck with your journeys.

I actually thought your post was a great thing to hear--I went to my congressman's office in person this morning and filled out the paperwork for them to file an inquiry as well. I'm an October filer so chances are it won't make a difference overall, but if it DOES, I'll be so glad I went. Thanks for your story and your encouragement!!
