Hi all

I am new to visa journey and have a few questions if anyone could help.

I filed my I 130 and was approved.

November 15th 2018 I filed my 601A waiver.

December 26th 2018 went for my biometrics.

currently waiting to get waiver approved and go back to my country for interview.

Hoping to get approved but I did overstay years ago, afraid if I go back for interview I will get denied and then am left sitting in my country.

am I safer to wait it out, until my husband becomes citizen, that way I won’t have to leave the country.

any suggestions appreciated😁

Please stay back with your husband and have your interview there. Don’t leave the country.

My wife submitted her application for a I-485, I-601, and I-765 back in September 2016. We had our interview in June 2017 and are still waiting on a decision. We have had our congressman reach out to USCIS 3 times. We are based in Baltimore area. Anyone else in the area experiencing a similar wait time?

Aré you in AP procesessing? That is absolutely ridiculous

AP (Administrative Processing) doesn't exist for adjusting status within the US (I'm assuming they are doing so since they filed an I-485 and I-765).

Although it's basically the same as AP since they're just waiting for a decision.

As noted, adjusting status is lower risk adjudication-wise.

At the same time, if you are put into removal proceedings before you can file the I-485, then things become more complicated.

Not saying which one is better...just pointing out that both options have their risks.

my waiver got approved

Wow, I cannot believe I am just now finding this forum.

-----

How inspiring to hear that people are getting approved, but definitely discouraged to hear how long the consulates are taking to set up an interview.

----

The NVC (Nebraska service center) received my husband's I601--waiver of inadmissibility on 3/16/18. I have literally checked the USCIS website everyday to check the processing times and we finally surpassed the normal processing time and we have heard nothing. Case inquiry came back on 5/14/19 to say it had still not been processed and to contact back in 60 days.

---

My husband's medical exam and interview were in Jan of 2018 in CDJ, Mexico. He was referred for a pysch exam in his medical exam, even after passing the drug test. He was diagnosed as an alcoholic by the "psychologist" even though he has NO record in the US and I know everyone says this, is NOT an alcoholic. He was denied his greencard and was told to go back for another medical exam in a year and to apply for the i601.

---

Lawyer filed the i601 and said to not even bother going for the medical exam until its approved. Meanwhile, husband has been going to AA every week and following the doctors recommendations to seek counseling.

---

That is my story and and I truly hope this nightmare is over soon.

Hell o guys, I am new here. Did my I-130 interview on August 27th and was denied on the ground of Inadmissibility for misrepresentation case in 2010. The case was dismissed but I guess I was still penalized. I and my husband are planning to file in about 2 weeks opposing the penalty on the grounds of case dismissal and also hardship on the part of my husband.

please could you guys help with advice and how’s i should go about this and do you think I should get a lawyer?
