Many years ago I had a 73 Cutlass Supreme. I don't remember how many times people hit that car and caused no damage. Was at least 6 times.

If I was him, I'd take the buy out, hammer out the damage and keep driving it. As long as nothing affecting its driveability was damaged.

Well damage to son's car is about 3600, and they valued his car at 3109 so they may total his car. He is not happy as that car runs great and now he either takes the money finds another care in that price range and hope it's as good as this one. Or tries to get them to let him keep this one he fixes the dent himself and runs it till it dies.

that's a front wheel drive car, I'm betting all the stuff is sheared , torn or bent inside in the front - hence the reason the insurance firm wants to give the totaled value to you and yer boy.

The problem with the most cars is he doesn't fit well the boy is 6'5 and it's mostly in his legs so leg room is tough.

If I was him, I'd take the buy out, hammer out the damage and keep driving it. As long as nothing affecting its driveability was damaged.

He is thinking of that, he thinks with his brother they can hammer it out. The light has been hit also so it's no longer sealed but I don't think that is a big deal. He is also tempted to buy newer. With his buy out and money he has saved he would have 10k.

All I know is what ever happens we need to make it happen fast as he can't go with out a car he works full time and starts back to school full time. He has two years left locally then he goes off to get his masters at a different university, unless he wins another full scholarship he will need to start taking out loans. I'm so mad at that goof off that ran the red light.

Hes only had that car since Jan, and he bought it all on his own. He was so happy and proud of himself.

Oh and MY rant for today is why have my boys still not got their oath letter. They've been place in queue since June 20th I was hoping they would be done this before they start back to school. The boy hates missing classes.

Ontarkie- my husband is 6'6" and fits well into our subaru, might be worth a try. Defo didn't fit well into a Volvo.

So husband got a verbal job offer pending the results of his background check.

Right after I, of course, get a call from that employer that I was worried about not hearing back from to come in for an interview. Not sure I want to work 40 hours a week, though.

Step dad is 6' tall and fits well into a civic coupe strangely enough. I remember driving it and feeling like I was eating the steering wheel so that I had adequate use of the pedals.
