Lazy marklar, you ain't got a midlife crisis car, go to work. Excuse fail.

This is what I'm buying when I get a midlife crisis

gt3rs2010_01.jpg

/drool. I wants one.

Hubs says it's beautiful

He doesn't even say I'm beautiful.

Maybe sitting in said car would rub off and I'd be beautiful? Sounds like a plan, and if all else fails, I go fast!

Well damage to son's car is about 3600, and they valued his car at 3109 so they may total his car. He is not happy as that car runs great and now he either takes the money finds another care in that price range and hope it's as good as this one. Or tries to get them to let him keep this one he fixes the dent himself and runs it till it dies.

Here's a pic of his car

omg I was SO FREAKIN' PISSED when I had to total my car because some idiot hit me making an illegal u-turn. 4.5k damage, car worth 3.7k at that time. It was a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue with all the options, in 2010 when it was purchased it had 64k miles, lost it in 2013 at 80k miles. It had so much life left to live, it was a really good car and I couldn't find anything comparable so I bought a new car. Still mad.

Is that just body damage that can be pounded out? How many miles does it have?

He is not happy, the guy that hit him ran a red light. Said he was looking for something in his glove box, he was probably on his phone.

With front end collisions like that often something will be mucked with the controls arms etc with the front wheel or chassis damage. :(

Ugh what a dbag. I am literally still mad, maybe it's because that was my first car and I really loved it. A part me died a little when I watched them take it away for scrap. Trying to find comparable tings for what I paid for it gave me such a headache and I was always disappointed. Your son's car looks drivable (is it only body damage?), nothing a hammer and some gorilla glue couldn't fix (enough).

Oh my God. It's incredible what people pay for this kind of thing. We drive beaters. I welded a couple of iron pipes onto the front of our Toyota after my wife tore the bumper off it when she hit our plow truck. We like to play "bash the dumpsters" with it. You run up to a dumpster and see how far you can bump it across the dumpster lot. The kids think that's a riot.

He's still driving it atm. His first car also, and finding comparable is not going to be easy either and he is on a time crunch as he works and starts back to school in a few weeks.
