School in most of Canada starts after Labour Day. (which is actually a holiday up there.) But except for college and uni, they all end in June too.

There are some all year schools too.

There is some variation here, as you might have noticed. My daughter's old school followed a similar schedule to your daughter's, but here they get out in May and don't go back until September. This might explain their lower testing scores, or it could be one of the towns that also utilizing the school that is a little different.

It is going to be sad when she goes back, isn't it?

Also - promised myself I'd go to bed earlier tonight and have yet to go to bed because I'm not tired.

Arose early for GSs, zzz man.

Went to probably Many, half nearby and half in the "exotic" area, ambitious man.

Should have stopped after the first 2 or Many, sigh man.

Rant, man: There ought to be a law that if you're having an MS (moving-sale) but all that you have is garage junk and ratty old ceiling fans, you should state that in your ad, si man. If you're having a "huge" GS but are selling only holiday decorations, you should state that, si man. If you're having an MS but plan to counter offers with "No, we're not lowering prices until the end of the day," you should be shot, c u man. My reply next time this happens: "Lady, do you want to get rich, or do you want to get rid of your stuff so you can move, huh man?"

I'm trying not to think about when she goes back and just enjoy the time with her while she's here. i have a feeling she may eventually want to stay if she has her own room and space. But I like the schooling she gets back in AB. I just think she'd be a more rounded adult living with us, because we're more strict than her father. He's learning though.

Later today we're going to go pick out some craft stuff, some new shoes for school, and watch a movie.

We'll set that day aside to test him again. He's doing covalent bonding in chemistry right now. Hard to imagine where he will be a year from now when they will allow him in kindergarten.

Do they not have a special case allowance? I know here that the superintendent can grant special permission to allow a child less than the age allowed by law into kindergarten.

How about private school? Once they've done kindergarten there seems to be less issue with age and first grade entrance...

You sound like the way I teach my daughter! I was talking to her about hydrogen bonding this week as my husband gave a dumb look. Oh Danish education, how vastly superior you are.

bah - interim report.

We tossed all plans of divorce, instead making new plans to actually work on the marriage.

This took some time, as she finally understood what my financial portfolio looks like and why she has a real estate portfolio in her name.

in the meantime, my allergies have turned into a really bad cold, the phlegm color is green and leaves my body often.

The part that really gets me from all of that, is I call him, ask him if he's looked at any appts online while I'm driving. He says "No, I'm going out to eat since I didn't have lunch."

This man should be thanking his lucky stars he has me as a wife. He says that I'm a fantastic wife. I feel like a crazy wife sometimes. But maybe I really am that fantastic wife. I wonder what kind of bauble I should pick out for him to get me for being so amazing?

I'm glad we don't have to pack everything in 3 days. I'm super glad I'm not homeless. . I'm super duper glad we don't have to move in with his work buddy either. And this man better super ooper duper trying to help me find us a home so this isn't an freakin issue!
