NVC Filers - April 2014

So I got my NVC case number today, I know it was today because I called as soon as they opened and nothing, and then called right now and I got it :)
I knew it would be today, hence double call, because of the database. so yey!

Anyway they gave me IIN & BIN but said they couldn't take email yet because it had just been entered, when should I call to provide it? Should I try monday or give it 2-3 days?

I am all for calling often, but only if I legitimately think something can change because a) one time I asked and that person had a record of my previous calls which was a little bit intimidating. Probably explains why they are not as nice to people who call often.

By the way, the spreadsheet currently says someone got their case number on Saturday, April 19.... NVC is closed saturdays as far as I know and I think for sakes of avoiding issues dates should be kept in relation to location of NVC as in Eastern Time Zone. I mean otherwise it may create innacurate results for what day is covered.

Always double check your documents and forms. Not only do you get delayed by RFEs and Checklists, but the time it takes for them to review the new items you send could be used to approve more applications. Save yourself and others valuable time!

Current Status: NVC:
-Assigned and Received NVC Case Number, IIN, and BIN April 18, 2014. (100% sure case # was assigned today because I called twice and it wasn't assigned in the morning when they opened but in the afternoon it was)
*Could not provide email then as case was still being updated in their system
-On April 21, 2014 I was able to provide my email and beneficiary's.
-On April 28 I was able to fill out DS-261
-On April 29 I received and paid AOS Fee (at 1pm)
-On May 1 I received and paid IV Fee (at 1pm [became available]), also AOS Fee shows as PAID
-On May 5 IV Fee shows as PAID and DS-260 became available and was completed. Also, AOS Package Scanned by NVC

-On May 7 IV Package Scanned by NVC

-On May 28 AOS Accepted

-On June 2 IV Accepted/Case Complete

-On June 11 Interview Email Received

-On July 3 Interview at Moscow

Note: Medical Exam scheduled after interview letter received by calling the specific clinic, earliest appointment was 2 weeks ahead)

-Visa approved, came to us, got greencard, sadly things didnt go well and divorced. Last I hears she was still in the US and got a full greencard (I notified USCIS of divorce though)

Someone asked me this question I pray someone can help this person and I'm sending them the link here.

My question is does required my Birth Certificate to attach with any documents like AOS or IV packages? If yes, is it original or a copy?

Another question that is in DS-260 form what is the below meaning.

1. Document ID = is this meaning passport number?

2. Country/Authority that issued document = is this meaning passport issued country?

3. Issuance date = is this meaning passport issue date?

4. Experation date = is this meaning passport expire date?

I'm kinda distracted by researching cat stuff at the moment (our new apartment allows cats!! :D), so I just absent-mindedly copied the responses to the spreadsheet not even realizing 4/19 is tomorrow (for those of us here in the US). Updated that member's line to reflect today's date instead ;) Thanks for catching that (cause I sure didn't :lol: )

Snipe nevermind! I'm guessing by database you meant the spreadsheet database, and when I looked at it I noticed they were so consistent within the 30 day average from received to case number assigned, so I got what you were saying now sorry!

Just say to yourself, everything is for a reason and God willing you will get a great counselor for the interview. Just take a deep breath know it will be soon and in it's time. I know it's not easy because I'm living it still and am not as close as I would like. (F)
