I'm really panicing right now:

Has it happen before that it took 20 - 30 business days to invoice AoS fee and have DS261 ready?

I'm really wworried that my case will be delayed even further!!

NVC told me that it takes 20 - 30 business days from case # issue to AoS fee and DS261 being available in the system.

Don't panic! I was invoiced the AOS Fee 2 days after receiving my case number and was able to pay it 3 days after. I know it's hard because we just want everything over with... But you are almost there. :) Edited by LifeOnHold

Yes, you can send in the full tax return paperwork including all schedules, W2 etc, rather than wait for transcripts.

And second, yes the DS261 comes first:)

Beneficiary - Applying for CR1/IR1 (but also played the K3 card prior to understanding it may be phased out.)

2013: July 20: I-130 sent (Chicago lockbox)

July 24: I-130 NOA1

July 24: I-129F sent (Dallas Lockbox)

Aug 2: I-129F NOA1

Aug 12: Alien Registration Number was changed, I-129F.

2014: Jan 28/29/30: - 3 transfer notices for I-130 and I-129F.

Feb 3 - Hard copy arrived -Notice of transfer to Texas stating Jan 29th.

Feb 10 - NOA2

Feb 27 - email stating I-130 being sent to NVC from TSC.

March 6 -NVC received our case.

April 7 - CASE NUMBER yay! IIN and BIN obtained and email given.

April 9 - DS261 available and filled in online.

April 9 - AOS not yet payable but visible.

April 10 - email regarding NVC case number and access to DS261 received/ email regarding AOS received and paid.

April 11 - AOS sent by snail mail.

April 14 - AOS arrived per mail tracking.

April 15 - IV bill received via email, IV bill paid/ in process, IV package sent.

April 18 - IV bill showing paid/ DS-260 available and done!

- AOS scanned into their system.

April 21 - IV package arrived per mail tracking.

April 24 - IV scanned into their system.

May 2 - False checklist for IV documents= AOS approval.

May 13 - NVC rep reported ? missing Police certificate via my phone call.

- Supervisor review initiated.

May 14 - Checklist for Police certificate came via email.

- Sent checklisted documentation priority post!

May 15 - Package delivered per mail tracking.

May 19 - Case COMPLETE!! Police certificate found by NVC:)

May 28 - Case complete email arrived.

May 30 - Assigned Interview date!

I think we celebrate earlier than you so that we still feel we have something to be thankful for, before the misery of winter sets in! :wacko: It can be bloody depressing by the end of November :lol:

lol! This is like the discussion I had with my husband about Mother's Day. In the UK it's in March, and in the US it's in May. I told him ours being later means there are all the nice flowers available to send to moms... he told me that happens in March in the UK :lol: It's a spring holiday in both countries, but we have VERY different definitions of spring!

It is really hard to breath right now!

I'm so under the water right now and can't wait for this nightmare to end!!!!!!

I just talked to a nice lady and she mentioned they everything is done, it just needs to go through "quality control" unit for the invoice to go out. She mentioned that it could happen any minute now!!

Don't panic! Maybe take a break from checking and relax and watch a movie! I just watched Frozen because it's snowing AGAIN up here in Canada. LOL in the middle of freaking April it's snowing again. This is getting ridiculous.

EDIT: Watching a movie paid off! I now have access to my DS-261 online :dancing:

Haha! When I call NVC (I call through skype) I watch a show or movie on Netflix muted with subtitles. Passes the time well :)

Hi guys! Yaaay! Finally got our case number & IIN today! After 33 days of waiting and calling NVC, i'm so happy! But i forgot to give beneficiaries email address though. But he confirmed to me my email add, I'm the petitioner. Is that okay? Are they still gonna send me email's of payment confirmation and intructions instead of snail mail?

Congrats! You're okay, the important thing is you can now log in to ceac with those numbers and when DS 261 will be available to fill up just assign yourself as the choice of agent and they will send every update with regards to your case thru your email. You can always call them back if you want to give them the beneficiaries email.

If i wasn't on VJ, i would be worried and call NVC... i wonder if a lot of NVC calls are due to things like the above message and false checklists from people who aren't in the know?

Ok guys.... here is a question...

i read at VJ.... Step 6 - IV Package... this...

"Note: the two packages (AOS and IV) can either be mailed separately or together. Either one works. Again, as long as NVC receives it, that's all that matters. If you do decide to mail them together, I suggest putting each in a separate manila envelope (and clearly mark it and write "AOS" or "IV" on each one), then putting both manila envelopes inside the shipping envelope."

Question; that mean... i can send the 2 packages by (postal service), after we pay the AOS FEE, n get only include a copy of your bar-code sheet of only that AOS FEE (bcs at that moment only paid the AOS FEE) ??.... is that the correct way to send?..... and that is for different departament, how i do it?
