It's the saddest day of my life... I just found out that my wife is using me to get a green card and them move on...

Long story short. I brought her as a K1 fiance and then filed for her adjustment of status in November. Everything was good till I heard a long conversation with her parents today talking about her plans. She is basically using me to get a green card and once she gets it she is going to move out and leave me.

Please tell me what to do. She had her fingerprints last December. Is it too late to cancel her adjustment of status? ...

Please, please I need you help. The funny thing is she still lives with me.

You have no idea how I feel right now... It's when you love someone for all this time and all of a sudden I heard the her unbelievable story with her parents.... She told them she never loved me even before I filed for a K-1! Can you believe this?!

Help me please! What should I do.

Withdraw I864 asap, pretend as everything is still B4 she goes and file vawa

go also into local uscis and repeat what U heard....stay as calm as possible

& I would get a mailbox and re-route the mail there to pick up at the PO If

she asked about it tell her U understand someone's been going thru mailboxes

in the area

The only thing that's slightly off is that its impossible to walk in to any USCIS office, must to get through the door via an infopass appointment - see http://infopass.uscis.gov for more info.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

My brother, man, I am so sorry to hear this news

The time to be emotional IS NOT now. For the next month, you need to be all business about this whole situation.

Sit down with a cup of coffee. Get a piece of paper and get a TO DO list started now.

Number 1 : Get the I-864 out of your name NOW!!!!!! If you do not, your going to be on the hook for a long time.

If you feel emotionally your not able to perform the required task, hire an immigration attny to do this for your on a EXPEDITED basis. Time is against you big time.

After you get the immigration issue working ( what I mean by working is the documents have been filed and phone calls have been place), then you can fall apart.

Call the following people and ask them if they can refer you to a place on Boston:

  • Krist Samaritan Center
  • 17555 El Camino Real
  • Houston, Texas 77058+3031
  • 281.480.7554

This is a counciling center that works on a sliding scale basis for their fees. This one is located in Houston, TX. They should be able to refer you to a center in Boston.

Make an appointment and get in front of a councilor. It's okay to see one. Heal at your rate.

Here is how you do this, make a weekly appointment. Go in there and fall apart when your in front of the councilor. After you leave, it is all business concerning the immigration issue and the marriage devorce.

Be strong, pray. You can always contact me if you need an ear or guidance.

Please keep in mind that some dates are only known after receipt of another document.
For example, the USPS Form 3811. The stamped receiving date was not know until the original Form 3811 was received on 07/13/2013 1:30 p/m CST.

Cancel I-864 by calling USCIS, writing and mailing letter to where you filed AOS, and then make an infopass appt to local office to provide copy of letter and discuss the issue, then contact lawyer to file for divorce. Then seek counseling o help you through this time period.
