Scheduled an Infopass @ Atlanta USCIS Office on Nov 15 @ 12:00pm. I arrived at 10a, but didn't go in until 11a anyway checked in waited like 10min before they called my #. Lucky window #8 gave her my receipt # she asked me who I was petitioning told her my husband. pulls my file in the system she chuckled and said I have your fileidea9dv.gif . I was oh really! she's like give me a sec and let me check if I have everything that needed to be sent with your i130. she came back 2min later and said I APPROVED YOUR APPLICATION YESTERDAYdancin5hr.gifwow.gifdancin5hr.gif you should receive your NOA2 from the service center soon. OMG! of course I started cryingbiggrin.pngtongue.png and told her I had drove from Savannah and doubtful of coming. she was really, yep! It took 9months 2day (PD-2/12/13) for my approval. It was soooo worth the 3.5hr drive each away to hear your APPROVED. Now just got to wait for my approval letter (Will update timeline once NOA2 is received by mail). Am so thankful to God and my mom's prayers.

6/21/2013 -Married in Stockholm, Sweden 4/16/2014- Case received at NVC

9/6/2013 -Priority Date 5/13 /2014- Case number and IIN assigned

2/25/2014 -Transferred to NSC 5/20/2014- DS-261 completed

3/31/2014 -Approved 5/21/2014- AOS fee invoiced and paid

5/22/2014- AOS package overnighted to NVC

5/28/2014- AOS scanned into the system

6/20/2014- IV invoice email (but fee still locked on CEAC )

6/23/2014- IV fee finally unlocked and paid.

IV package overnighted to NVC

6/30/2014- IV scanned in. DS260 completed.

7/1/2014- AOS accepted

7/2/2014- False checklist (AOS reviewed)

8/1/2014 False checklist (attorney's G28 reviewed)

8/2/2014 False checklist (NVC not sure why it was generated)

I am the beneficiary. 8/12/2014 CASE COMPLETE!

8/26/2014 Medical

9/2/2014 Interview... APPROVED!!!

9/5/2014 Visa in hand

Can you help me understand how your file got transferred to Atlanta? At what point dos that happen?

It was originally at the NBC, but then transfer to Atlanta Office a month later from my priority date. From my understanding they were being transfer for a period time, but now they are not I thing they stopped transfers to your local office after the end of June or July. I didn't even know my was transfer until I got my congressmen involved because every time I called the customer service line they kept telling me that it was at the NBC and that since I was US Citizen that it wasn't going to be transfer, but it did.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

MOST folk that filed after 15 AUG 2012 got transferred to a local office for local adjudication without any transfer notice. That sorta stopped round the end of September 2013, and was cut off on 31 OCT 2013, and now anyone still with an open casefile at a local office is getting transferred back to MSC as of 1 NOV 2013, with further routing god knows where.

Why this evolution? Was a stop-gap measure because of the DACA filings last year.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

July 1: INTERVIEW!!! - APPROVED!
July 16: POE through Miami
July 22: SSN card in the mail
August 30, 2014: Green card arrives in the mail!!!
 
ROC: 366 days
April 27, 2016: Sent 300 page ROC packet to VSC via overnight mail
May 16: Check shown as charged online, received NOA 1 dated April 29
June 20, 2016- Biometrics
April 28, 2017: Approval
May 4, 2017: Approval letter arrived
May 15, 2017: GC arrives in mail
 
N-400: 190 days
May 8: Sent packet to Dallas Lockbox
May 12: NOA 1, Credit card charged
June 7: Biometrics
June 16: "In line"
Oct 2: Interview letter arrives (online status still says ''in line'')
Oct 31: Interview- Approved!
Nov 13: Oath ceremony!  Applied for passport & registered to vote on site.
Nov 22: Passport arrives (paid for expedited service and overnight delivery)
 
Journey complete! A total of 1701 days or 4 years, 7 months and 26 days.

07/11/2012: I returned to the U.S. with our 2 children. Started working.

08/01/2012 - 01/01/2013: Talked to various lawyers; saved for lawyer filing fee - complete waste of time.

02/01/2013: Found VisaJourney
