My employer file form i-130 for me since 3 weeks ago. Please vj members how long does this process takes.cause am worried.

?????????

An I-130 is for a US citizen or Legal Permanent Resident to petition a RELATIVE. It is not used by an employer.

Either your employer has no idea what he is doing or you got your facts wrong.

Absolutely does not make sense.

On what basis did you file the I-485 to adjust status?

Why would your employer file an I-130 for a RELATIVE????????

Furthermore, no legitimate employer makes an employee pay for this.

You might be getting scammed.

Is it possible for am employer to secure permanent resident card for an employee outside the US.and how long does the process takes?

Where are you now? In the US? Outside the US? Edited by aaron2020

Sounds like a scam.

You cannot file an I-485 from outside the US.

Have you used this B2 to visit the US ? ( do you know it is valid ? ) where did you interview and get the B2 in your passport from ? I am worried that you are being folled and if you spent money it is buying someone a few beers at your expense .

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

A recruitment agency got you an immigration lawyer and made you pay for the lawyer and the application fee? This makes absolutely NO sense. On top of that the lawyer is making you fill out applications that is not relevant to your situation. You are 100% being scammed! This recruitment agency are they hiring your to work directly with their company, or are they hiring you for a client? Either way the I-130 takes longer than 2 weeks to process maybe around 6 months. Are you sure they didn't file I-140? and your just getting the names wrong?
