You say you make music videos of young women (which I read to be underage teenagers) in Laos so they can make money - do you have any shred of an idea of how bad that sounds??

I imagine your customers are also PROTECT Act violators.

Run, do not walk, to your nearest criminal defense attorney. Make it a good one.

After she was denied we broke up.. been 5 months since her denial and uscis haven't receive back my f129 application. What should I do.? Please help....!! This is what the email says:

We have completed the administrative processing of your case. Our consular office is unable to verify the true identity of the beneficiary as she misrepresented and changed her identity on official Lao documents in an attempt to circumvent U.S. immigration law. As this information was not known to USCIS at the time of the petitions approval, the consular section has returned this petition for reconsideration with the recommendation that it be revoked. Furthermore, evidence also exists that raises PROTECT Act concerns which were not known to USCIS at the time the petition was approved. The PROTECT Act is a federal law that enhances the ability of U.S. law enforcement to investigate and prosecute U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents for the sexual exploitation of minors overseas. A victim as defined in 18 U.S.C. 2423© is a person under the age of 18. Our consular office is legally responsible for reporting cases that may involve PROTECT ACT concerns to appropriate law enforcement agencies and has forwarded the information to our ICE and other law-enforcement liaisons in Bangkok.......

At this point what should I do.? Just found out that she was aftering the money and had no feelings whatsoever.

The way this is written makes it appear that they believe that they have evidence that you had a relationship with a minor overseas and they are going to target you.

Actually going to federal prison is what you have going for you. That is like a low end country club. I don't really think this post is valid though, you are talking about two different government areas. I personally think if this were really to happen another division would contact you. It'd be the same as them warning you about your taxes, it isn't their job. It does make for an interesting thread though.

There's a doctor and a business man, that went to Thailand

very often (re: 60 minutes) They were both arrested and convicted

here for having sex with minors, that's how the old goats got their

jollys. In any race, color or creed a sensible grown man if honest

to himself can know the differences of minors from adults, not only

by talking to them but by checking ones own values...yep a 16 yr

old may fool someone that they are 18 years at first glance but be

around them for a while and you will know its a lie.

How much lie did she tell regarding her age...13-14 and says she's

18 then U petitioned her?....U need an atty and to stay away from

from young girls and Thailand...PROTECT is serious business

Jihana,

That's a lot of bull. Many Asian girls have a very young appearance. My wife was 19 when I went to meet her prior to our engagement and subsequent marriage. Before I ever got to her country I had her get her birth certificate, passport, etc... I took precautions where it looks like it is possible that this op did not, perhaps he was naive? Depending on the way my wife dresses she can have the appearance of a woman anywhere from 15 to 25 years of age. You can't say that spending a little time with a girl will prove their age. My wife is very mature for her age. If you talked to her you might think she is 25... so who are you to judge???

You are attacking this guy and you have no idea if he did anything wrong. ("U need an atty and to stay away from

from young girls and Thailand...PROTECT is serious business")

You are just assuming that he is an "old goat"? Perhaps this guy was duped all the way.

Aloha Ke Akua

Seems weird that they would just inform him via writing instead of, you know, arresting him for statutory rape and sexual exploitation of a child overseas. Do they seriously just write to suspected paedophiles, giving them prior warning so they may go into hiding? Or is this more likely a blatant troll?

ROC from CR-1 visa (Green Card expiration date was Nov 24th 2016)

Link to the evidence I submitted. Be sure to send evidence spanning your entire marriage (especially for K-1) or as far back as you can. Just one or two bank statements will not cut it. I primarily focused on the two years of living here since I came in on a CR-1. If you don't have the fundamentals (i.e. joint accounts/policies), you can explain why in the covering letter. E.g. "While we do not have joint utilities, we both contribute to them from our joint bank account".

I'm actually offended that OP had the nerve to suggest going back there.

Don't you understand? If he doesn't go back, who's going to make the music videos?

I am surprised at the piling on of this guy with so little to go on.

As I read his words:

1) He didn't know she was under 18 (he saw family documents indicating she was older than 18) . . . and still does not know what her true age is.

2) He never said he had sex with her. The words he received only stated they were looking into it since she had changed her name. Didn't say they knew she was under 18 or that they had knowledge of any sex between the two.

Well sure, I agree that shouldn't be having sex with underage persons - - - in any country; but no evidence presented here that it happened, and the authorities didn't even suggest it had; just that they were going to turn the info over to some other agency to pursue it further.

Yes, I agree the true silliness was him wanting to go back - - - for any reason and under any circumstances.

Of course there may be a real case to be made for this person's involvement in something illegal. But the poster has never presented such - - - and certainly no one here has presented any such evidence.

And much 'changing of words' here.

Just one example of the wild hyperbole thrown about:

The original poster wrote: Dude. I don’t make music video with underage. I sponsored their music to sell so they can make a living.

Another poster subsequently wrote: You say you make music videos of young women (which I read to be underage teenagers) in Laos so they can make money.

I don't think that statement from USCIS is "little to go on" It is really quite telling. They didn't include that wording on a whim.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
