yea my case been completed on the date I have on my signature 07/22, but this whole time no interview and I called nvc and the lady told me my husband wont even.have an intetview for november, and ive been away from my husband a year I left him in october of last year to come here and start things, and I havent seen him since, and you would think well go see him, well the tickets are.not that cheap and.we are.definitly not that rich or have the financial ability to do so like others. so im not going to hange around here for another 3 or 4 months waiting to just get an interview and then possibly another 10 months if my husband ends up in AP after the interview, so im not going to. waist our live waiting for this, the immigration system in this country sucks and not worth dealing with, I wish I wouldve known!!!

Haven't seen my fiance since April 3, 2011. Boy, is it hard to get by! And we have a kid together that he hasn't seen. Then, we got refused of the K1 visa just because the CO wanted to be a jerk. We haven't given up, even when we got refused. Yeah, we got discouraged but we got passed it. If he gets denied, then we'll have to try with the IR1. If it doesn't work, then oh well, then we'll just live in the Philippines.. but like everybody else said, don't give up now. It is frustrating, we all know that. We all know how messed up their system is and everything, but you got thru a year without seeing your husband, so why not wait for a couple more months and see how everything goes?!? C'mon. Don't lose hope.

On October 2013, our I-129F Refused under 221(g)

So our son and I went back home to the PHL..

Don't give up. We are all SO FRUSTRATED, but if you give up now all the work you've done would've been for nothing. Soo, close, almost there. Just write here for support, we're all in this lousy boat together! Stay Strong, God is with you.

I can understand your frustration because I went thru the I-130 process back in 09 only to end up in a divorce after he got here. I wrote the embassy and at that time the middle east was in the revolution and it ended up in Amman where my husband was living. I pleaded with them to hurry because I feared for his safety and within a couple of days they called him in (they also saw that we had been married over 2 years) and gave him his interview and visa. I wouldnt give up just yet and I would call his embassy and nvc and demand that they take priority on expediting your papers

Dont give up cause you are so darn close.

But Madam, the little one will always be a USC regardless where shes born.

In any case you may be trying to avoid the whole "birther" issue when it comes to becoming a Presid

Lol yes this is true. I'm reaching at all straws to get OP to reconsidered, but its not just citizenship I was referring to. Not saying America has the best educational systems, hospitals, etc. But these are things their children may not have access to until they are adults and come on their own. I don't know how well off OP is in their country but if they aren't wealthy we know that certain things the children have access to here, will not be available for them there.

Nigeria Bust what's the reason to be so mean? she wants to be with her husband, probably her husband is ok with the decision to live in his Country, what's the problem with that". There are billions of people living on earth (outside of the U.S) and so what? they survived, they are happy. Let's respect her decision without using nasty words huh. Excuse me but I don't buy this bs" things happens for a reason", we are our choices! She is entitled to make her choices without being criticized. Many people here gave their opinions with respect, but you went to far,In this Country we use to respect others opinions!

"demanding" her husband be a priority won't get them anywhere, there are many others in line that have been waiting longer. I have a friend whose husband is from Egypt and he has been in AP for 13 months. They had a baby in August of 2012 and she decided to bring the baby and move to Egypt last December to wait it out.

What you say is true, just in my case it worked because there was a man that died right in front of the embassy because of the protests there and I freaked out and demanded that they get my husband out of there and in a couple of days I was told that they interview was set up and visa waiting. Not everyone can get immediate results like I did but nothing beats a failure but a try

What works for me may not work for others, however nothing beats a failure but a try, right

Please don't take any action now. Just visit him and after a week U will decide what U really want to do. I cry almost everyday and very emotional over little issues all because of my three kids and husby that I have missed for almost 14 months now. Most often I asked myself why, why, why. Just to let U know, U are not alone. Cheer Up. The sunshine will surely shine again.

People are saying that the OP has the right to go when and wherever she wants to, of course she does.

Her life, her decision, her happiness, her consequences. All of us make choices today that we have to live with tomorrow.

However, the angle of the OP's initial post blaming the long process for her choice to move to Egypt is puzzling to me
as I previously said it took OP an entire short 7 months from filing her petition to case complete at NVC.

That was fast for a I-130. Of course when we are apart from our loved ones even one month seems too long but we have

to put things into the right perspective and consider the short term and long term consequences and what is best for us.

It is this component of her short time in her journey with a few extra month wait for an interview that makes

not following through to the finish line 5 min to 12 a bit hasty in my opinion. If other reasons drive her motivation to move

to a war torn unstable country that we aren't aware of, then we only know the half of it.

I would at least wait to see if he will be put in AP before making such a drastic move.

I also think a try to request a faster interview date due to the current bad conditions there is very reasonable,

perhaps even through a senatorial request. Not likely granted but entirely possible.

As was pointed out, waiting it out in Egypt with her husband is also an option so that both have the option open

to return some day in the near future. I would opt for a second job to raise the money to visit. Money does not fall from trees

but it could perhaps be considered to overcome financial obstacles.

OP didn't ask for advice on 'if to move or not' but on how to retrieve original documents and she has her answer for

that and can stop the process by emailing the embassy that she does not wish for an interview date anymore.

OP, I wish you well and a happy life with your husband, wherever you will settle.
