After a review of our systems it was found that Case MSC xxxxxxxx, Form I-130 filed on behalf of (acplicant name) is currently pending. We process cases in the order in which they are received. However, due to the nature of your request, this case has been given to the I-130 expedite team for further review and adjudication. Once this case is reviewed and a decision has been made, you will be notified.

Due to the extremely high volume of I-130 expedites, the processing time frame for review and adjudication is approximately 30-60 days.

It is not approved, it is just telling you that the expedite team is reviewing it to decide whether they will grant an expedite or not. If they approve it, they will send you another notice saying you have been approved.

I got this same message about 45 days before my expedite request was approved. This means just as everyone above has stated, they will review it.

Due to the backlog of the normal processing times, most people have searched high and low for a reason to expedite, so it will take some time as the expedite office is backloaded as well. Give it about a month minimum and give or take two more weeks and you'll get their decision.

Good Luck! :)

When you file an expedite, your case gets pulled out of place and put in line for an adjudicator to review. They look at your case, look at your expedite request and determine 2 things. 1 they determine if you have a valid reason to expedite. 2 they review your case to see if it is approvable.

Your notice simply says your case has been pulled out of line and placed with an adjudicator. No decision has been made yet

good luck

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
