uhm, there's a get a green card section with a chunk o quote from me, in the faq.

that path doesn't apply anymore after 1 FEB 2013. Since 1 FEB 2013 - ya gotta pay monies. Currently, ELIS handles the transaction.

Question for those doing EP: Do you get an email after they've reviewed your documents? I got the email saying they received them and to allow 20 days to review them, but I didn't know if I should expect another email saying they've been reviewed or if I'll need to call to find out.

Unless they've changed things, you need to call to find out when they've been reviewed. There's also the possibility of getting a false checklist.

Haven't posted in a while but after almost a year -- my case is all approved and I received the interview date. It will be first week of September!! I'm planning to fly down to attend interview with my wife.

Quick questions about the medical exam -- does it need to be done within a certain time period? Would it matter if she gets it done a month before the interview or a week before?

Also -- Is there another thread for interviewees?

USCIS

08/09/2012- Filed I-130 through USPS

08/13/2012- USPS confirmed delivery

08/13/2012- USCIS confirmed receipt of I-130

10/25/2012- Called USCIS to obtain case # (Did not receive NOA1 in mail)

03/18/2013- NOA 2: APPROVED (221 Days)

Grats!

Re: medical exam question. It could vary by country, but there typically isn't a time period in which it NEEDS to be done, as long as it's done before the interview. I personally had my medical done a month before my interview and had no issues.

And yes, there's a link to the September interview thread in the first post ;)
