I'm pretty sure most would want to stay at home to take care of their kids, but financially the marjority of people have to work to pay the bills. Also this thread needs to be moved to another forum, this is in the wrong spot

The reality of life in the US is that both parents usually have to work to be able to afford life here. Many people of both sexes are driven to work and have a career others opt for the couch potato lifestyle.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

i say stay home, take care of the kids, but put together an organic micro-farm nearby and make monies !

Do what works for you both in terms of your relationship and budget. This is more a conversation for you and your spouse, since no one on here will have the exact same situation as you.

It depends on the age of your kids.

If they are already of schooling age (5 and up), you can squeeze in a job while they are still in school. That's what I'm going to do once I arrive in the US. Lucky for us, my mother-in-law is around to assist. She's my hubby's "right hand" now with the kids. luv.gif

When my kids were still here in the Philippines, I took care of them. I don't have the heart to leave them in the care of a stranger.

I think it's a personal decision. A lot of it has to do with financials but no parent should be forced to stay home either if they feel they'd be a better parent by getting some time away. Not everyone is made to be a full time SAHP, (stay at home parent) but that doesn't make them less than either.

Thank you for all your opinion's,Yeah..kinda hard here US compare to the Philippines especially taking care kidz need adjustment.

I have 2 kidz 5 up so they gonna adopt their schooling later on,so I need to guide them,Perhaps I just need part time job for sure,
