just got see one fom singapore Apalis got May 24 case complete and had July 19 schedule geez thats almost 2 months on the interview date. now just waiting for a case complete. So I can get my option. Hubby wants me to resign on work. once I had my interview date. Because of the 3 months work notice. but thingking too that I want the visa on my hand before. I resign on my job.

Hi all,

I wanted to update you with some good news!

My wife finally joined me here in Texas last friday. It was a big marathon since our wedding back in October 2011 but here we are starting finally our lives together.

I wanted to thank everyone on VJ especially the ones who went every time above and beyond... they will recognize themselves:-).

if we sent both AOS and IV packages last week Thursday the 27th june , and assuming that everything is in order , can we hope to get a case complete by the end of july , at the rate reviewing has been going?

Definitely possible! The IV package will probably be reviewed before the AOS package as there's a slight backlog NVC has to get through for AOS packages.

Funny thing is, I did check, but I was on a netbook so the screen is tiny, I probably just thought I was looking at 2 posts.

Obviously, I would not be reading the posts after case complete lol.

hi everyone!

My husband sent in an expedite request a couple weeks ago. He spoke to a few Tier 2 NVC IOs who said we have a strong case and our case would probably be granted an expedite. It never hurt to try so we decided we would. He included a letter from his commanding officer (CO) (he's military) and explained our reason for expedite (i'd be too pregnant to fly and we fear there'd be some complications with the baby since it's our first one.) We also included a doctor's note.

I've read on VJ that pregnancy is not considered reason enough to grant an expedite but we thought we'd just try since our packet got lost for about a month between USCIS-NVC and that threw our timeline off.

My husband also reached out to his congressman and senator and was then contacted by the senator's assistant who asked for some info. I don't know if that helped but a few days ago, we were told our expedite request was granted!

Our packet is on its way to the KL Embassy, and hopefully we'd be able to get it expedited as well.

So if you feel you want to try and get your case expedited, send an email with supporting documents and wait. Maybe you'll get it, maybe you won't, but to me, it's important that we try because if not we'd still be asking if we could get it!

Looking forward to getting this whole immigration process done. not terribly impressed with the American bureaucracy at this point! I used to work with the government of my country, so I'm very well aware of how fast/slow the government can work!

Good luck to everyone, I understand how you feel especially since we applied in August 2012, and thought we'd be done by May! Pffft.

Checking in to this months thread... Last week the Change of Agent/DS 3032 was sent via email.

Checked the payment portal this morning and got this:

This case is in the process of termination. Fee payments and online forms can no longer be accepted. If you believe you have received this message in error, or to resume processing of the case, please contact the NVC immediately.

Yay! I hope this means my first invoice is being generated. That would be super awesome.

yip its processing.. check it again over the next day or two and your case will be available for further processing

Our AOS and IV packets were delivered to NVC this morning. Sent on 06/19.

Nice to start the new month with all our papers at NVC! This will be my 4th month on these NVC Filers threads. You get to learn a lot when spending time on this forum for that long!
