Thanks!

I requested the transcript for 2012 and I will send the return as well. Do you think it might raise a red flag if they somehow notice I was tax exempt for 2010/2011? I worked in a country where I had that benefit, so I didn't have anything to file. Should I even bring that up?

Also, my AOS payment now shows up as received. Am I supposed to wait for an email from the NVC with further instructions or just get to assembling the AOS package?

My understanding is, if you worked/lived overseas, and are under a certain threshold for income, you still have to file, but the IRS doesn't tax you. There are several threads around here about this very topic. Also reference the IRS website.

Word. I believe I have the paperwork from those years buried in boxes somewhere, I just wasn't sure if I needed to mention it.

I just resent the same email for supervisor review. Never heard anything on the first one probably because my AOS wasn’t invoiced at the time I sent it, so they may have just pushed it to the side.

Remember, the DS-3032 is part of the IV track which has absolutely nothing to do with the AOS track.

Thanks!

If you have the tax transcript, there's no reason to send the tax return. The whole point of the transcript is to reduce the amount of paper sent.

And if you didn't file taxes for 2010 and 2011, you should probably include a letter explaining why.

Don't wait on NVC, send the AOS package. You could have assembled it long ago, there was no need to wait until now.

Wait about 2 weeks. It's taking about 10 business days for them to review right now.

I just called and received my case # (NVC received application May 27). Looks like it was entered on the 6th of June based on the case number. How long does it take to get a Invoice ID? :\ I haven't received any e-mails.
