I am a US citizen and I would like to file the I-130 for all my brothers and sisters totalling nine. Will this be an issue? Will the USCIS have problems with this? Is there a limit on the amount of brothers and sisters that you can file for?

Thanks

Do you meet the income requirements to support all these people? Its over 49k http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf

That would really be the only issue that you would have in filing for so many people.

There is no limit but you will need to meet the income requirements for a 10 person household (plus and spouse or children of yours of course)

There's no limit as to how many siblings you can file for. The question is... is your income enough to support all of your 9 siblings (plus their spouses and minor kids if they are immigrating with them too)??

Each i-130 filing costs $430, so initially at the USCIS stage you would shell out $3,870.

For the NVC stage the Affidavit of Support fee is $88, so another $792. Immigrant Visa Fee is $230 each, $2,070 (plus fee for immigrating spouses and minor kids). Another concern is if your current income is sufficient to cover your household + the 9 immigrating siblings and their derivatives. Refer to this: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864p.pdf

When they receive their embassy interview schedule, each intending immigrant will under go a medical examination. I don't know the exact fee for your country but I would estimate it to be around $200 each. $1,800 (plus fee for spouses and minor kids).

After their embassy interview and they are approved, they will pay the new USCIS Immigrant Fee of $165 each for their green cards. This should be paid before they depart for the US. $1,485 (plus fees for spouses and minor kids).

And of course, there's the plane fare too.

The waiting time for sibling petition varies depending on your country. Shortest is 12 YEARS. Next is 17 YEARS and the longest is 24 YEARS. Refer here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_1360.html

There is talk of stopping the ability to petition siblings, but it's not in effect as yet. A USC can petition siblings. The waiting list is long though - Philippine for example is 23 years.

Yeah. Most people petition their parents instead, the wait for parents (who are LPR's) to petition kids is shorter than that.

to file each 1-130 is 420.00. then if you can meet the poverty guide lines, 8 people is 48,612.00 add another person at 4,950.00.and then it's a long long wait for siblings to come to the us .

Your numbers here are out of date, you should check out the link I posted in the first post and see the new numbers for sponsoring people.

Other than having the minimum income level required for 9 people in household (plus yourself), not much of a problem. You do not list what country you are from and that could be the other consideration. Category for brothers/sisters is a long wait, even longer on some specific countries.

Assuming you are a USC
