Hello,

I have recently been looking for jobs in US with a H1b Sponsorship and have had no luck with it, Not that i did not qualify for an interview but the companies were unwilling to sponsor my h1b. Then out of the blue, i got contacted by a consultant who was willing to sponsor my h1b against a $2500 deposit money, I am scared if its a scam or not!

How can i check if this isnt a scam becaused i asked the consultant if we can meet at his office and he said he has a virtual office!

Ummmmm...I would be very leery of this as you obviously are. When H1-B are sponsored by companies I don't believe you have to pay anything, that is why some companies place a stipulation that you have to work for them X number of years after sponsorship.

You can try to google the company name to see what, if anything, comes up.

True. You will not pay for real companies. The idea of sponsor is them covering YOU, not you paying THEM.

I can hook you up for only $950.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

You should really pay for quality. I bid 7928.00 USD. Yes, I know this is more than the consultant is charging, but....

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Offer to pay him with virtual money. Delete all references to this. I had a scammer pretend to be with the FBI, so they are very good at making it look real when all they want is your $2500 deposit and then they will become virtual.
