hi! Im adjusting from a k1 visa. We filed my petition on July 19 and I received my EAD on September. That was the last time I heard from USCIS.

My husband called a few times since november and always the same story "we have to wait"...my only hope is maybe I will receive my GC without my interview, cause so far I know my package remains at the NBC facility.

Last week, I chatted with VJ member who was going through the same: July 2012 AoS filler, 6 month and half and nothing...she got her approved without interview.

I dont get it, USCIS changed the policy and procedures (No more Vermont or Transferes to CSC) to make the AoS processing quicker, and Im still here.

Should I:

1. Wait

2. Ask for infopass at my local office

3. Involve my congressman

According with the USCIS, Hialeah (My local office) is currently processing JULY 12, 2012. But the last time they updated this info was NOVEMBER 30, 2012... :bonk:

I am in the same boat. AOS received by USCIS on August 12th. Online status still shows in the 1st stage of Acceptance.

It will be 6 months next week.

I'll be contacting my local congressman to see if he can help.

I would contact the congressperson. It's very straighforward, most have a release form on their website. You have to fill it out and send back so they can assist you. My congressman was helpful to us at a different stage of the process and I wouldn't hesitate to contact him again (and I may do it soon...won't be too much longer until we reach the 6 month mark).

Yeah, that's why I didnt filed for the AP. Now I think I should have done it, ONLY for emergency case. Hopefully I will not need it! I read so many cases where people were not allowed to get on the plane back to the US, cause they didn't have visa or GC. Unfortunately, no everybody knows about the AP. not only that, but once you go back to the US you need to go through the immigration room again. Even when my first experience went very smooth, and take me only 1 hour, I don't want to tempted my luck.

So, Im going to wait...this lady I met last week...she was approved after 6 month and half without interview...Her package remained at the NBC facility all the time, just like mine! Crossing fingers for February guys :star:

Please keep us posted. We are at NBC too and while its only been 5 months for us- I'm tired of waiting and hope that we won't be too far behind you. It is so frustrating to see other posts stating that it only takes 3 months to get the green card when I think most are taking more like 6-9.
