Alright, change of plans(you know how this goes...)...We are going to use both incomes of the joint sponsor and her husband, which file jointly. Does that mean that now he will also have to fill and sign an i-864? And if so, what do they check in part 1(only joint sponsor etc).

Jeez, that's a major bummer :( But, there was one thing that came out of it: she can go to the embassy on any Friday. This might be a good lead. If she can get in and talk to someone, she might be able to find out what's going on. How close is she to Paris?

400 KM away from Paris

she is working this week and when they need her. so this is some good news.

I just don't like the way the embassy told her "Congratulations, we will send out your Visa within 10 days"

this was on the 13th of December, so the 10 day mark would be the 23rd, so my wife asked if she then would have a chance of being with me during Christmas, and interviewer said no way. If I have to, I will fly out to Paris myself and petition everyday in front of the US Embassy until my wife gets her Visa!

PS. we already knew she could go there on any Friday, so the only information we got was a bill for 14 euros from her credit card company.

Alright well I just got off the phone with NVC, they said that the husband of the joint sponsor would need to fill and sign form I-864A(as a household member), but we would only need the one set of transcripts from the joint sponsor, being it has all the information cause they file jointly. Also, for the current individual annual income line we use 2012 income. Just need to verify that they gave me all the correct information as far as everyone else here knows...anyone?

Here's my problem, I sent the AOS last month and after it by like 4 days I sent the DS-230 and the AOS got reviewed after like 10 business days then we got a checklist for the AOS after a week from the day it was already accepted asking for a proof for the petitioner domicile we were mad about it and we talked to a supervisor cuz we are sure we included everything then she requested the case file and after like 5 days we were told that this checklist was wrong however it contained specific information, now the DS-230 is 20 business days there and still not reviewed yet and I got three checklists asking me to send it when it's already there and I have the delivery proof signed by g-peters checklist was at Dec 27th and two as Jan 4th and 7th, now I called the supervisor and she told me that she see a mail was received about the case on Jan 3rd but she can't tell what it is so she offered to request the case file again to see what's inside and will take 10 to 15 business days or to wait until they review it themselves, my question what should I choose wait or let her get the file which will delay us more? do you think that the first time they requested the file for the AOS issue they got the DS-230 inside the case file then no one reviewed it? I'm really confused and nervous.

ok say here I am on the right thread now :) okay so I have received two emails from NVC and the portal to pay the IV AOS (or whatever) is open noow...does that mean they accepted our DS-3032? or am I waiting on something that says that has been accepted? Wow I am still in shock that we are here now!

primary joint sponser - I-864. secondary joint sponser - I-864A

well, whatever is always questionable.

Since there are only two fees to pay, and one is tied to ds-3032 acceptance (or if a G-28 is with the I-130, a DS-3032 is not needed)

so

if you can pay the IV fee bill, then something happened on the DS-3032 (either it was added to the casefile at NVC or someone noticed the G-28 filed with the I-130)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Ooph, that's far from Paris.

And oh, I thought you found out on that call that you could go on any Friday. My bad! blush.gif

Has DOS been any help this week?

Yeah, I was just gonna reply to your last post that the husband needs to file an I-864A and the wife an I-864. For the current annual income, you write down whatever your current annual income is. So, if you currently make $45k a year, that's what you write.

I suggest waiting. They should get to it soon. Remember, there were two major holidays that just recently passed, so lots of people were on vacation, thus creating a backlog at NVC. It's gonna take a little longer than usual to get to packages. Just sit tight.

Welcome to the "right" thread ;)

If the IV bill has been invoiced, then yes, that means the DS-3032 was accepted.

Confused about question number 23 on form I-864 I know it say current individual annual income but, does this means that we have to calculate the income for year 2013 which is the current year although we are still at the first month of it. Or could we write what income is on 2012 tax return. Also does the income listed on 2012 tax return has to be above the poverty guidelines, or if we put 2013 annual income and it is above the poverty guideline and support it with an employment letter and paystubs would be enough ?

thanks.

Current annual income means what are you currently making. So, if you're currently making $45k a year, that's what you write down. If you work 40 hours and earn $10/hour, then write down $20,800 (10 x 40 x 52).

And NVC is generally only concerned with current income being above poverty lines. So if your previous years weren't above, definitely make sure you include an employment letter and recent pay stubs. Keep in mind though, the consulate/embassy may have other financial requirements where they want the income to be above a certain level for a few years. So, just because you pass NVC, doesn't necessarily mean you'll pass the interview.

Thanks for the help guys, much appreciated. Now I can relax and know I have things right

One more thing though...when sending the IV package, do I just include in it what's written in all the cover letter samples? IE

Bar-coded Cover Sheet.

2 Passport-sized photographs.

Completed and signed form DS-230, part I.

Completed and unsigned form DS-230, Part II.

Photocopy of the Biographic data page of the beneficiary's passport.

Certified Birth Certificate of the beneficiary.

Certified Marriage Certificate of the beneficiary and the petitioner.

Original police certificates of the beneficiary

Original military certificate of the beneficiary

I read in some places that you also need to send all originals of what you've sent before to USCIS. If so then in what package? And does that include just, say, the petitioner's birth certificate or divorce papers, or does it also include all the bona fide evidence?

And one very last little thing...Where it says in the AOS not to count anyone twice, does that mean that if my wife puts me first as the sponsored immigrant(21a), she(well actually me being she gets to just sign it) needs to put down 0 at 21c? Cause that's weird, but that's what makes the most sense. It's like I'm married but I'm not married lol
