How is my projected timeline gonna move back a whole month since when i joined this is just insane. I dont know they predict these but it needs to be adjusted.!!

Timeline is based on when the months/people before you get approved...VSC is on a serious go slow at the moment, we have no idea why, but many of the people who applied in Jan are now waiting more than 160 days, so not right. When they have called they get told that VSC is working on Jan 9th or Jan 23rd, nothing matches or makes sense. Prepare for a long wait cause if this go slow continues it will be more like 6mths+ than 5mths....sorry to be the bearer of bad news, may the force be with you!

Interview Monday 27th August 2012

207 days since NOA1.

Tommy arriving Saturday 25th August

Yipee!!!

APPROVED!!!!

Tommy went home 5th Sept

Visa arrived in mail 5th Sept

There's no way to accurately predict a petition timeline. The timeline on here is based solely on the processing centers' recent processing speeds, and VJ members' own ability to update their timelines.

If/when either falls through the cracks, the timeline becomes inaccurate. Take it with a grain of salt the first couple of months after filing. Towards the 3rd and 4th month after filing it'll be more accurate.

We have a few items causing the delay.. Obama's new immigration law as well as this is vacation time of year. And we all know the Federal Government employees receive nice benefits so I believe this slow down will be until Mid to late August.... I dont like anymore than anyone else..

I would guess VSC misplaced some petitions. As according to Igor list the begging of Jan and end of Jan got approved but middle... some Feb people got approved. Or there is only 1 guy who was checking I-129F and he is on 1 month vocation...

I am not happy with CSC due super slow delays and lots of people got approved before me and from NOA2 to NVC gonna take a month. Just to send damn files takes a month when VSC send it in less then 15 working days.

A couple of things to keep in mind...

The data on VJ isn't the most accurate since it's relies on VJ users to update their timelines in a timely manner. There are plenty of people who sign up for the site, start a timeline and then abandon, so that can skew the data.

Also, the users on VJ represent a small portion of the petitions processed by any Service Center and the SCs handle different types of petitions, i.e. VSC and CSC aren't just adjudicating fiancé(e) and spousal petitions.

Last, but not least, take time away from the site when needed lest you lose your mind during this process!

Keep in mind these dates are ESTIMATES, not set in stone, but set in quicksand, :clock: and are subject to the limitations mentioned above.

This visa journey is not a sprint race, it is a marathon. :star: You will do well not to fixate on the steps, but keep your attention on the end result. There are so many potential delays, pitfalls, and denials in this journey that could drive a normal person to insanity. We are dealing with huge government bureaucracies that have no interest in romance or people's emotions or future plans. Remember that it is their ball game, their playing field, and their rules.

The end result makes this whole immigration journey worth all of the expended time and effort, the rest is just details.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

YMMV.

Estimate is just an estimate.

Maybe VJ should subtract 30 days of their timeline prediction algorithm to give everybody false hope?. But then I guess everyone would be complaining about their timeline prediction was not accurate haha.

As Left and A&B said, it is what it is. Most of us have dealt with the slowdowns of the past and this too will be overcome. Government policies are what they are, and then Presidential Policies join the mix and here we are. The legal, honest, teeth grinding VJ members holding on to what little sanity we have during the process and friendships made here are what makes it count. LOL and hope for the best.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

Obama's immigration law hasn't had any impact on time as it just went into effect. And people take vacation time year round. The fact is it takes and average of 5 months at the USCIS level, and it has been this way for quite some time.

If you get to 5 months plus, the last thing you will be concerned with is your VJ timeline.
