Well you know this person can follow your direction and when she gets tied up between trying to get a piece of paper into the jail without the Directors approval, then she can say if I had only known the hassle that would have been. When was the last time you took anything into a jail house to an imate without approval?

nobody is asking anyone to sneak anything into jail. there is no point in scaring the ####### outta her without even having the right information. i am telling her to talk with an immigration attorney who will either know how to get an inmate to sign and notarize or atleast be able to direct her to the right service for this.

when have u last visited a jail? its nothing like what they show on tv in prison break. inmates have certain rights stripped because they are incarcerated, but they dont have all rights stripped. instead of ranting on why dont u bring forth a precedent where an inmate was denied the right to sign a document in jail.

2006 - Entered US on F-1
2009 - COS to H-1
2011 - Married USC

Conditional GC Process:
04/2012 - Concurrent I-130 petition / I-485 AOS / I-765 EAD / I-131 AP sent
35 days to biometrics, 73 days to EAD/AP combo card, 85 days to interview, 96 days to Conditional Green Card

04/2014 - Eligible for ROC

06/2014 - I-751 package filing joint with spouse sent

5 days to extension,37 days to biometrics, 172 days to CSC transfer, 247 days to Green Card

04/2015 - Eligible for Citizenship

09/2015 - N-400 package filing on basis of USC spouse sent

29 days to biometrics, 105 days to interview, 147 days to oath and US citizenship

~ 9 years and 6 months from first entry to US citizenship

That was exactly what I told her in my orginal post, The OP cannot just walk into a jail facility with a piece of paper and request that her husband be given access to sign it. Nine times out of 10, their visit will be behind a glass wall. You are the one who is ranting ang raging about I don't know what I am talking about.

This is exactly why I say, she can follow your advice. BTW, you can't even take a piece of chewing gum into the jail without approval. call and ask....

Why in the world would you post your intent to break the law? If you do it, you do it, but for the love of God, don't post about it.

Unless you are being literal and you are allowed to legally work, you just choose to do all of your work under a table with a bike...in which case, I apologize, carry on.

First you need assistance to survive, contact members who offered to help, civic organization to assist you with immediate needs (food and shelter). Then tackle your documentary and immigration needs, your embassy, an attorney, fees etc. I wish was closer, good luck. When you apply for your AOS, your apply for AP and EAD at the same time, see the guides for initial assistance. I am no expert but it appears you will need some type of legal assistance.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

You are not legally allowed to work.

She would not be the first to work with no documents. It seems to me that one possibility is that if caught she would get a free ride home.

I know you're in a tough situation, but if you're caught working illegally, you'll be in a much tougher situation.

What was he arrested for? Has there been a trial yet?

In the US, we don't arrest people and keep them in jail forever. Prepare the paperwork and if he gets released, send it as soon as he signs it

Have you been able to contact him at all?

Good luck

There are exceptions.

So go around pretending you're legally allowed to work when you're not. Brilliant.

Well, she needs to eat doesn't she?
