Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

We had an AOS interview at the Lawrence MA office for the spouse conditional green card.

We arrived about 25 minutes before our time and were called in about 20 minutes after. We saw some other couples being called separately and hoped that we wouldn\'t be separated.

We were called by a very polite and friendly officer who asked us some pretty basic questions like when we got married and what was the wedding like. Then she photocopied our health insurance cards and went over the i485 no questions. After that there was idle chatting about the weather, the job market and so on. She then told me not to be so nervous and that we were approved. She also said we had a very well prepared file and more documents than she generally gets.

After that she explained that we should collect all documents for the next 2 years to ease the ROC process and said good bye on the way out.

Very quick and painless process.
