When we initially sent in our petition, we didnt start checking anything until about 3.5 months into it for our own sanity. Then when it hit 4 months we were checking daily. Then 4.5 months we were checking 2-3 times a day lol It was crazy.

We got out email/text in the middle of the night on a Thursday when I was asleep (12:45am) and USC got his text (10:45pm)

I received the paper NOA2, then 2 days later I received the text and email. A day after that the web site was updated. I hate to burst your bubble but the USCIS web site does not get updated very often.

That being said I checked my status about once a day.

wow i think thats true...i heard that too to some other people USCIS web are late update.

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

the USCIS doesn't do a very good of updating their website. I received a letter from NVC dated 23 MAR that said they passed on my approved packet to the Embassy, and she received the letter from the Embassy stating to go ahead and send in packet #3, yet the USCIS website still has us listed as initial review.

From K1 submission to US Citizenship- 2 years, 1 month and 2 days!

K-1 Process
• 6 MAR 2012 - I-129F packet sent via FedEx overnight •

• 23 MAR 2012 - NVC received/forwarded approved I-129F
• 25 April 2012 - Interview and Visa Approved!
• 27 APR 2012 - Collected Visa at Embassy

*It took 46 days from NOA1 to Visa pick-up and we received our NOA2 two weeks AFTER her arrival in States!

AOS Process

Laugh. My wife has been here for over 3 years and it still shows pending.

I check USCIS and it says cannot be found. I tried to sign up for email case status, cannot be found. When i call them, they can't find it either, so i automatically get transferred to tier II person, which is the only good thing. The tier II person says the computer system does not work, they can see my case, and i just have to wait.

I checked it like 5 or 7 times total during our K-1 process.

Some people are excessive about checking it. Some people never check it. Whatever helps you get through the process. :D
