Holly cow! I'm afraid to tell you that THERE IS a way to SAVE the DS-230 Once is filled in. Wanna guess who posted it about 1 year and a half ago? SAYLIN! Hahahaha! Yes Sir! Once More She is the CHAMPION!

The Answer is: Open the DS-230 using ADOBE ACROBAT PRO Vs the Conventional ADOBE READER that most people use and VOILA!

Note: ADOBE ACROBAT PRO though is NOT a free Program but ADOBE gives you the choice to download a 30-day TRIAL for FREE! Woohooo!

Have you tried this lately? I know we cannot send a scanned copy, but I have all the other documents saved on a thumb drive and would like to save the DS-230 to pdf, as well. I printed it though, then scanned it for filing purposes, but could not directly save it or print it to PDF directly.

What if I do not receive any checklist on monday, does it happen they find a document they reported missing?

NVC doesn't re-review packages. Once they review a package and find something wrong, they'll issue a checklist and move onto other cases.

The only way a package will be re-reviewed without receiving the checklist response is if a supervisor pulls it.

So you have two choices: send the checklist response or request a supervisor to review it for themselves. In your case, it'd probably be a lot faster to just send in the required documents. A supervisor review can take quite awhile (week or two, or more).

First off, have you been calling NVC and DOS every day?

Have you looked at other Haiti cases? Does it normally take this long?

I've called NVC they told I just have to wait they don't know when it will happen. For Haiti wait can be between 1-5months :-( what's DOS?

Got my AOS FEE invoice bill today in my email..!! But I need to confirm if my husband can pay online this weekends or need to wait for monday?

Grats! You can pay it whenever, but NVC will only process it during the week when they're open. If your husband has the money, tell him to pay it asap!!

DOS = Department of State

They're another place to call with information on your case. Their number is on the first post at the bottom.

Thanks saylin! i will ask him to pay the bill when he gets home from work later. Do we need to pay a separate AOS fee for my son? cause i was the only being invoiced to.. I received the DS-3032 together with the AOS bill, do i need to sign it and mail it back to them? i already sent an DS-3032 form for me and my son with the template which you've provided on the first part of this thread..im confused, need your help :bonk:

The AOS fee is only paid once per case. It's the IV bill that is paid per applicant.

As for the DS-3032 question, go read the FAQ on post 2, I answered that exact question :P

Lizka,

Where and how did you get married?. If you performed your civil marriage in Spain, this had to be done in the Registro Civil, and as part of the process they register your marriage there the same day.

You mention you have a marriage certificate, where was this issued?

If you provide this information, I might be able to help you more.

If he has to be registered in the census in order to obtain his Certificado de Fe de Vida y Estado, he can register in the empadronamiento of his locality the same day, and ask for the certificate. However, NVC requires Marriage Certificate. I doubt they will accept the Certificado de Fe de Vida y Estado, as this does not conform the required document. I suggest he goes personally to the Registro Civil and ask what they need to register your marriage, so that they may issue the corresponding Marriage Certificate.

I'm sorry I think I misinterpreted your post. If you have the marriage certificate already, then that's all the NVC needs. However, if you want to be more prepared, it wouldn't hurt for him to register his marriage in Spain just in case this comes up in the interview (I doubt it). The empadronamiento does require proof of your marriage if he wants to obtain the certificate de fe y estado. However, NVC doesn't require this document.

wow... 197 pages... 40 or more new since I really read it. No way I'm catching up...

I know, we're nearly at 200!

And don't bother trying to catch up; it will take forever.

This thread rivals some of those game threads in "Off Topic."

I unfortunately can't think of any horror movies as "cheesy" because they scare the $#!^ of me. And similar to what you think, I always wonder if this can happen to ME. *insert over-active imagination*

I hate that horror movie #######, I don't see how anyone can watch that. Plenty of other (and better) ways to be entertained.
