Comments : Arrived at Orlando International Airport and proceeded to the Citizens/Resident line. There were only very few people compared to the tourists/visitors line. So we waited our turn and were called up to one of the Immigration windows. There a nice CBP Officer greeted us and took both of our passports and the mysterious brown envelope. I told him I was coming with my wife and that she was a "first-time entry permanent resident" and he seemed to like the "heads up" I gave him. He replied: Thanks!
Then he took my wife's right hand finger prints and took a photo for their system. After this he walked us to some immigration office inside the Airport and we waited there for a couple of minutes. After about 15 minutes another CBP Officer called my wife up to a counter where she was instructed to sign the I-551 Form front and back and he took her right index print twice (This is for the Green Card). She was told to seat and about 10 minutes later we were called again to the counter. There the CBP Officer explained to her that she was a "Conditional Resident" because we had been married for less than 2 years. He briefly explained the process on how to Remove Conditions, how to get a SSN, and approximate time of how much the Green Card would take to arrive in the mail. Finally, the CBP Officer returned the passport back to my wife with the endorsement stamp on it and he said: You're now a Resident of the United States. You can travel at any time, go on vacation, but keep in mind that this is now you're "place of residence" so you're expected to spend the great majority of the year in the US. And that was it! We exited the Immigration Office, claimed our bags, and headed Home!! Wohoo! So Happy!

Consulate Review: Bogota, Colombia
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 30, 2012
Embassy Review : My wife arrived to the Embassy at about 6:30 AM for her 8:30 AM Interview Appointment. As many people have previously described in their reviews, she went to line 3 which is for immigration and was asked to show the Interview letter along with her passport to let her in. Following this, she was instructed to turn off her cell phone/electronic devices and the she went through some sort of security check point (somehow like the ones you find at an US airport). Not to long after she was given a green sticker with a big number 3 on it and then she was called by a Colombian lady who asked her for the medical results, passport and photos. She then did some sort of like a pre-interview in which basically she confirmed her name, place and date of birth, how long she has been married and who was petitioning her.
she also asked my wife for her email address and she looked it her up in the CSC site (which is a website you have to register for to arrange for the delivery of your visa) and she said: Wow! You're already registered and good to go! ... LOL! (Hubby had previously learned on VJ that you had to register on this site, so we had already done our homework ahead of time).
Then she told my wife to have a seat and that she would be called shortly.
Exactly at 8:30 AM she was called to window 6 where she was greeted by another nice and smiling lady. She asked her in Spanish: So how are we doing today? then she asked basically 3 questions (again in Spanish):

1) When did you maried?

2) What is your husband's name?

3) Have you ever been in the United States?

And then she asked a second time: Are you sure?

After this she said: Your Visa has been approved and have a wonderful day. Your visa will be available for pick up in about 2 weeks!!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
