09-21-07 GC received!!!!!

Exactly my thought...i wish it had not been a mistake tho i am sure yours will come soon!lots of people are getting approved lately :yes:

That was just a practice run :)

Yep now we get to do it again with extra vigor!! I saw the post of the person who mistook thier RFE for approval and went back and read all 5 of my emails from CSC to make sure I hadn't made the same error. Like the others said, don't give it a thought. We are all here to support you, and if anyone gives you grief about your error... :angry:

That could have happened to any of us because we all so desperately looking and waiting for our approvals everyday. Thanks for letting us know the error...I have the utmost repect for you. With the rate that things have been moving, your approval should come very soon, so don't fret. This will have to be you and Laurent's first cry together. :( Just take a deep breath and tell him ... the two of you will look back on this one day and laugh. :P

I just continue to be so appreciative of everyone's kind words and supportiveness today. Thank you so much to all of you!!!

I want you all to know that I did break the news to Laurent early this afternoon. He handled it like a trooper. In fact, he laughed. He said, "So, you woke me up at 6:30 this morning to tell me that we're approved...when we're not." I said, "Um...yeah. But they've been approving so many people lately. I don't think we will have to wait much longer." He just chuckled and said, "Well, do we have a choice? We wait." So for those of you who did pray about this conversation...THANK YOU!! Your prayers were answered!! :star::star::star:

God is truly good. He gave me a wonderful man and surrounded me with caring, understanding people. It really doesn't get any better than that. :):):)

January 2004: Met Laurent at the Bibliothèque nationale in Paris

February 2004: We became an actual couple

January 29th, 2006: I left France to return to the United States--AWFUL to say goodbye!

June 2006: Finally convinced Laurent that a K-1 visa would be more time-effective than trying to get an H-1

August 1st, 2006: The K-1 petition is finally in the mail and on its way to Nebraska...WooHoooo!! And yes, I remembered to attach the check! :-)

August 3rd, 2006: USPS online tracking shows that my petition (sent certified) was received at the NSC at 5:05am

August 14th, 2006: NOA1 received USPS!! (I-129F recv'd at CSC: 8/4; NOA date: 8/10; last touched: 8/11)

October 2nd, 2006: I MISTAKENLY thought we had an approval...False alarm...Back to waiting...

October 3rd, 2006: TOUCHED!!

October 4th, 2006: REALLY AND TRULY APPROVED!!! Email notification lists 10/3 as the NOA2 date.

Later that same day: TOUCHED...AGAIN! Hope that means I'm in a cozy box and moving to NVC this week...

October 10th, 2006: Received official NOA2 via snail mail.

October 19th, 2006: Case received at NVC!! AWESOME!!

October 20th, 2006: Case forwarded to Paris!! DHL says two shipments were headed that way. Must be in there somewhere...

October 27th, 2006: Received official receipt letter from NVC via USPS.

Well this is certainly a wake up call for those who are emailing you their approvals with no note attached to explain that it's THEIRS and not yours. How thoughtless of them.

It is a cautionary tale, certainly. In this case, the person has already very graciously apologized, though. Bless his heart...He was just excited. He didn't mean any harm. He's completely forgiven. :)

I did not have very much time near the computer today, so sorry, to hear about this. But it looks like it ended up okay. My thoughts are with you tonight, hoping that you and Lauent will continue to support each other through this very hard journey. It does feel great when you have, supportive and a understanding people around you and a caring and wonderful man. Wishing for a VERY fast approval for you and Lauent.
