I signed up for notification by e-mail and text messages. I also have the phone app "USCIS Case Status Notifier" that also notified me. So when the status changed, my phone was making all kinds of noise

Got my 10 year gc and congratulatory letter from the USCIS in the mail today, 12/10/12.

By the way, when you sign up for the email and text notification, it will also notify you when they mail your gc and when USPS pick it up for delivery.

Received Green Card in the mail today 12/10/12, received text messages and e-mails when the 751 was approved, card production ordered, USPS picked card up at production center, and just got the text and e-mail saying the card was delivered to the address they had on file for our case.

It should indicate the RFE but it is not always very reliable. If you gave your e-mail address to them ( Case Updates ) you should get an e-mail concerning the latest actions taken on your case.

question for those who received a "shipment" and delivery notification:

so they send out the cards by certified mail? i remember my first green card came by regular 1st class mail... i'm worried about this because of mail theft issues in my building, and although i requested that USCIS change my mailing address to my PO box, i never got a confirmation and can't get through to anyone willing / able to confirm it.
