i will go to in december20 , after i was approved in CR1 visa

i will have connection flight in ATLANTA AIRPORT

then normaly my process for POE in atlanta airport

i need know if 2hour half will be sifusant time for processing time for POE?

bfr i go find my next flight to dallas

Normaly CBP in ATL is very efficient, however the airport itself - not quite. Few times after arrival there was no gate for the plane and ended up spending 30 mins sitting in plane on taxiway to pull to the gate.

Atlanta is a BIG and BUSY airport, and it will likely be very busy during the holiday season. I would consider two hours as a bare MINIMUM for a simple domestic connecting flight, due to the real possibilities of one flight being late, the next flight maybe early, technical difficulties, luggage transfer, bad weather conditions, etc. Throw into the "normal" busy travel season that you are doing POE processing (and there will likely be others being processed like yourself)..... you should seriously consider allowing yourself more time... at last double your estimate, maybe more... What is your alternative plan if your proposed 2 hour allotted time takes longer, and you miss your connecting flight????

Just remember, Atlanta is the busiest airport in the world (no kidding, I'm serious) 2.5 hours is a short turn around time for a connecting flight, let alone one to process a visa. But yes, it is Delta's hub so there shoud be another flight to TX

My then fiancee and I flew in to Atlanta together and had to endure the CBP process. Took us 3.5 hours. A lot of people were asking questions about the wait, and they announced several times that the "normal" processing time in Atlanta is between 3 and 4 hours. It does vary quite a bit as a few months after our arrival my step daughter arrived on her K-2 and went through in about an hour. As I sat there I could not believe how little work these people actually did. More time talking about their friends and what they wanted to have for dinner etc, etc. It was all I could do to sit still and keep my mouth shut. I knew if I said something it would just cause us more problems.

The best was when one guy picked up our packet and looked and shook his head and said "Damn it. A K-1" He looked at his buddy and said "Hey Bill, what the heck am I supposed to do with a K-1? How many days do they get?" LOL

That depends on whether your flight arrives on time. I prefer at least a 3 hour layover and 4 is better. I've had 5 hours not be enough because of late international departures.

have with you once you will land at Atlanta the sealed letter that embassy gave you and you X-RAY don`t open them and took them into a way that U.S customs borders will see them then they will call you to move to another office to finish everything but before they will ask you to took with you all your suitcases it took to me something like 30 minutes all that time to the U.S border officer ti fill the paper

tell them that you will took a connection flight in only 2.30 hours to help you do the staff faster

you will need also to fill a form I-94 that you will find into the plane do it even if it say that you don`t need it

and fill the customs declaration too to win time

when i flew in to atlanta to visit last christmas (21st december) i was sat on the tarmac for 45 minutes because there was no free gate, i was stood in the queue for CBP for 90 minutes, it another 90 minutes to go back through security after i collected my bags... add to that the extra questions and 2.30 hours just isnt long enough

Came as a K-1 visa holder and during my port of entry on september,it took me just 10 to 20 mins to get thru Immigrations and customs in Atlanta. ....But base on the season,you should atleast have an hour and 30mins gap from your connecting flight just to be on safe side but am sure you will be done within an hour.....They are very fast and efficient.....

No. Is not enough as a domestic connection! Give yourself at least 3 hours between flights. Good luck!

All i know about atlanta is that i hear the employees arent that great or knowledgable. Also if you fly Delta its known forit's delays and having flights (right before take off) wait on Tarmac for plane to be checked for something or other (but it's better checked then then finding out about the prob in the air). That's what to to us on domestic flight in Atlanta on delta. We missed our connecting flight.
