Glad you understand. Nobody deserve such violence. Only a select group, regardless of race. Heck, what about the Mafia who are primarily white. There are all sorts of violence regardless of race. If you believe that white and black people are still way too different, it's the wrong idea.

It used to be that we pooped in buckets....what's that gotta do with anything?

I find your response so curious. So it's karma, eh? White ppl deserve it, huh?

You don't read much on the mafia these days. Iv'e been to Italian neighborhoods and felt safe. Nothing like at a McDonalds in the center of Oakland, California.

"I want to take this opportunity to mention how thankful I am for an Obama re-election. The choice was clear. We cannot live in a country that treats homosexuals and women as second class citizens. Homosexuals deserve all of the rights and benefits of marriage that heterosexuals receive. Women deserve to be treated with respect and their salaries should not depend on their gender, but their quality of work. I am also thankful that the great, progressive state of California once again voted for the correct President. America is moving forward, and the direction is a positive one."

This type of mob mentality is pretty common here in Houston. Young black kids mobbing a convenience store en mass and ripping the place off while the poor Indian or Pakistani clerk stands by helplessly intimidated. I've actually seen it personally. Black kids walked into a convenience store, grabbed several cases of beer, and walked out without paying or saying a word. The clerk asked me to go after them because he couldn't leave the store unattended. I told him, sorry, ain't my beer, ain't my store, ain't none of my business. Why get killed or maimed when you don't have a horse in the race.

I used to go to the gym where I met an HPD cop. The guy had lots of stories. He'd catch black kids stealing and when the kid's parent came down to the jail to get the kid, the parent would curse the cops out for arresting the kid. No wonder these kids are what they are. No cure for that mentality but a bullet.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

I should move out to your town.

It would probably drop the average IQ of both states :P

I was in Oakland last week early in the morning with a couple hours to kill. No problems at all. I guess everybody sleeps in after a night of mayhem.

The term of art is "Limousine Liberals". They give all their money to save the trees and attend garden parties in the woods rather than give to charities and work in the soup kitchens.

Hmmm...interesting. The majority of people I know in the Seattle area who would be called "liberal" or "Commie" according to the definitions here on VJ are definitely NOT yuppies. And they are incredibly generous with their time, talents, and money when it comes to charity.

But I suppose it's better to have a narrowly painted POV to fit the stereotype. God forbid there are people who are a mix of conservative and liberal values. And btw, I've never heard of a "garden party in the woods."

Here's some info on Seattle. Seattle and the crooks that run/ran it (Ron Sims for example) fixed the laws for King County to tax out the farmers and loggers.

King County ...where Seattle is located is a large area. Towns like the one I was born and raised in (Enumclaw) made their money from farming and logging. When the MS crowd moved in from Silicone Valley and elsewhere they saw rural towns like Enumclaw great places to raise their family's. So what they did was moved into these towns from Seattle and started changing the laws. Dairy farms were everywhere, yet the Seattlites didn't like the smell, so they complained and complained until it was illegal to fertalize your field with manure and water. Then King County made laws that you could no longer water your stock using the local creeks. In other words farmers had to build fences X amount of feet away from the streams that ran through their pastures keeping the livestock away from them. Then they made it a law to where the grass had to be X amount high (inches) on all pasture land. King County which is run by Seattle (lots of voting power and money) hired morons to go around and measure the grass on all the farms looking to fine farmers. Then King County raised the taxes on raw land (have to pay for Seattles bs lib theaters and new stadiums of course) so that the farmers were eventually taxed out.

None of that was good enough though. The next step was banning smoking in bars. Don't allows people to make their own decisions...make it for them. I can go on and on and on... Whenever I go down to Washington it changes more and more into a cesspool. The farms are all but gone now, logging is in the same boat and it's all fcked up. It's sad for people like myself that have had three generations of family that farmed and worked the boat yards see everything there going to sh*t. Hunting there sucks more than ever...the farms that we used to hunt on are gone now, the vegetable farms that ran the distance of the valley from Tacoma to Seattle have all been turned to warehouses, and where there was hardly any crime, is now crack and meth infested.

But the Seattle libs that shop REI, drink at Starbucks could give two sh*ts less as long as they are able to change Washington state into what they believe is the right way.

Ah don't let me forget the forced busing. After voters voted down forced busing, Seattle kept on doing it anyways thinking they were bigger than the voters. So it went to court ...Federal, and Seattle lost...yet they kept on with the forced busing. So they were sued (court again) and they still kept it up until the Feds threatened to take away all their funding.

Boeing...used to be big time. Seattle taxed the ####### out of them until Boeing moved their HQ back in '99. Then you have the Seattle wingnuts (U-District, Capital District) that keep on trying to shut down oil exploration here in Alaska, yet none of those people have never been to Alaska, and wouldn't know a barrel of oil if it bit them in their lib #######.

I don't have any knowledge of Seattle's farmers, but I know my FILs business would be MUCH better off in TX (which is why they're moving)....I'm not going to say too much about his biz cos it's not my place to, but he has a very nice company, which has now suffered because of whom he can subcontract out to, because he's not a minority owned business.

Smoking in bars? Look, I've been a smoker and a non smoker. And smoking in bars is really not about 'personal choice' when second hand smoke is lethal. However, if there were smoking bars and non-smoking bars, I think that would be fine, too.
