I already received my biometric appointement, it will be the 22th august !

little question, I did a stupid mistake :bonk: I thought I had to send the EAD application once the NOA! of the AOS received... but I found out on the forum that your supposed to send the EAD with the AOS at the same time when your a K1 and that EAD is free in this case.

What if I send my EAD now, with a letter explaining I did a mistake, would I have to pay for my EAD or not?

I forgot to send our EAD application along with the rest of our packet as well. Wait until you receive your NOA1 for the I-485, make a copy of it and send it with the EAD application and the passport photos and a cover letter (also a G-1145 form if you want text and email notification when they receive it). There is no charge.

i filed my AOS packet on July 14th and got NOA on the 22nd =)

i have a question, though --- could i travel outside US while my AOS is in process? because im confused in this matter. I came here under K1 visa and got married within the 90-day term. Is it true that I dont have to file for advance parole if my AOS has already been filed? thanks.

You have to wait for the EAD/AP approval and wait for the card, then you can travel outside the US..

Not true. You should NOT leave the country without AP or Green Card in your hand. You need AP in order to be able to return while your AOS is pending. If you leave without it, your AOS will be considered abandoned.

You can still file for AP with your AOS NOA.
