Our petition was aproved june 3 and my fiance got a notice saying the embassy has our petition already so it took about 3 weeks for me and i dont think it was bad at all

My friend just got an email yesterday saying the case has been processed and forwarded to the embassy. NOA2 date was June 6th. She received the email in response to the email she sent requesting information on her case. Up until yesterday they were saying "no record of the case" and then the email. Seems like it is taking around 3-4 weeks lately.

Its been two weeks and NVC either doesn't have my paperwork or still hasn't processed it yet, but I don't understand, based on looking at the Timeline, how some cases go from USCIS to NVC to Embassy in one week and how some cases take a month. The inconsistency is very frustrating. Just curious if anyone from first two weeks of June is still waiting for NVC\Embassy info?

We spend three weeks at NVC, so I'd say that they are very consitent.......within the one week to one month time period.

You're just being impatient; stop worrying.

Got a hard copy of NOA2 on Jun 6, still nothing from NVC. Was thinking about emailing them today.

We waited 3+ weeks for our case to arrive at NVC. Called everyday, told the same generic response.

The good things is once it's there it's usually in and out pretty quick. Hang in there.

Its really frustrating. Whether is USCIS that hasn't sent the package yet or NVC hasn't processed it, but regardless, the long 4th of July weekend is coming up and that will only delay things even longer. I am really hoping they get it done this week

I got my NOA2 on the 10th and they are still saying they don't have any record of my case at the NVC as well. It is frustrating when you see people who get in and out of there in just a few days and mine is already over 2 weeks... At least I know I'm not alone in this frustration though.

I received the NOA2 June 9.Got the paper copy June 13. I called NVC and got any number of answers to call back. One said give it one month, another two weeks and yet another 6 weeks. Got the NVC casefile number June 24 and the file arrived in Paris. Called the DOS to ask questions about the Paris embassy on the 27th.

All of this is to say, call and call often. And the information given is very inconsistent.

1/28/11 Sent package to Texas

wow.. so many responses.... i knew it, i knew that this month has been really slow...... i analyze the time lines carefully and at no point in the last few years has USCIS to NVC has been taking as long as now.

anyway... its not impatience, its inconsistency and lack of a working process.....

Do they ever go straight to the embassy or do all K-1s have to be logged at NVC first? My NVC operator said it depends on the case...

NVC told you that...? No they always go via NVC

Some of you have only had 3mths or less between NOA1 and NOA2... (:huh: wish it was me )

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Also, NVC does not update status until the petition is ready to ship out, and the letter informing of that is several days letter. Hang in there, you are in the final part of this. We finally have an interview date and it felt like a year had gone by since the NOA2....
