I don't think that's accurate. I have never heard of it. My sister just came here in the US and she only got 1 way ticket from the PI.

Just wanted to send a big thank you to everyone who has posted here. My fiancée and I are submitting our k1 petition in the next couple days, and this site has been a huge help.

I know I have been stressing too much about this whole process. I do have one question in terms of 'proof of relationship'. We actually went to school together in Pittsburgh and both graduated in 2011. If we both submit our diplomas, would that be sufficient? I usually drive to pittsburgh, so I do not have plane or buss passes/reciepts to submit. And our communication is usually over Skype like apps,, so there isn't much in terms of a documented record. I will be submitting pictures of the two of us as we'll.

It is my understanding that proof of having met in the past two years is the most important component at this stage.

Any advice would be very much appreciated!

I think we didnt receive any of RFEs but we have been waiting for 4.5 months since we sent. Btw, we had transferred our case from NSC to CSC. Still NO@ never came....

Anything wrong?

That's a very odd situation. NOA1 wouldn't reach more than 1 month to receive. We got ours 5 days after our check has been cashed. So I suggest that your fiancee must call the USCIS about your case, if they would request RFE or whatever. Just call them as soon as possible.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight.

I have a general process question. What is the chronology of the investigation for the K1/I-129F? While it's in the USA, at the respective Service Center (Vermont for ours), do they perform all the checks on the stateside sponsor? And then once it's abroad do the background checks on the Fiancee? What about the Affidavit of Support proof? When is that checked? Like your accounts, assets, and such? While it's stateside or once it's abroad? I included in my initial I-129F submission a I-134 and supporting documentation and I wonder if it was looked at or not.

Thanks in advance if anyone knows the answer to this.

In general, checks on the petitioner are done state side, most checks on the beneficiary abroad. I doubt they will have looked at the I-134, and may even have discarded it, so be sure to bring an updated one to your interview.

Hello everyone!

I'm new to Visa Journey, and I'm not even sure I am using this site correctly. But I was wondering if someone could answer a quick question for me.

For the G 325 A bio form, does my Fiance need to put our current address down (spain) or where we will be living in California?

Also during the initial process of just filing the first few forms, is it true that we do not need to include my fiance's (german) birth certificate or passport info?

It would be wonderful if someone could get back to me..

Thanks a million!

Hi everybody!

I also have a question regarding the address!

My fiancé (USC) will move out of his apartment in March 2013. He's moving to a place where he can stay until July 2013 and then he'll have to move again but he doesn't know where yet.

So my question is: is it tough to inform USCIS about a change of address of the USC after we filed for I-129f?

I was also wondering what he should write in question 14 of the I-129f (address in the US where your fiancée intends to live), since he doesn't know that address yet?

Thanks for your answers!

I just sent off my I-129F petetion on March 11, 2013 and recieved a text and email that my petetion had been recieved and routed to the VSC on March 19, 2013. I followed this website's guide to the exact detail, but I'm concerned about something I've read that other posters have gotten an RFE for....financial information? I was under the impression that I didn't have to worry about that until I recieved a NOA2. What is the correct requrement? will I get an RFE for not submitting the affidavit of support at the petetion phase?

2. Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy.

Can someone whose done this for part 2 of the process explain this to me? I'm not even close to it yet but like to be prepared. I had letters that I copied for first packet, does this mean in this packet they have to be the original letters, show tickets etc? A lot of proof I sent initially were receipts for hotels and airline tickets printed from Internet, which is like a copy to begin with...they are not expecting my original birth certificate are they? Thanks for the feedback
