We met on SerbMach.com, and that day, September 30th 2008, just as I was getting ready to press "delete profile" I got massage from him, so we started talking there, both deleted our profiles month letter, he came to Serbia for the first time in February 2009 (tomorrow is 3 years since our first kiss) and the rest is history (L)

It is crazy how quickly we both become addicted to our talks - we talked every single day at least 6 hours, our lives at that time were just our jobs and our online time. :luv:

He was my penpal that I had met through Interpals. We started talking a lot more, added each other on Skype, which ended up with us talking through video chat almost every day. And that was it. :)

I picked "traveling abroad for pleasure" but "through friends" would have been more accurate if it had been there.

I went to visit a friend whom I had met 2 years earlier when she had been in a program I coordinate at work. The day I arrived in her country, she was away, so I had a long conversation about American healthcare reform with her cousin (it must have been absolutely scintillating). We kept talking constantly for the rest of my visit, and a few days before I left I told him how I felt (because I knew he would never make a move himself, out of respect since I was his cousin's friend) and it turned out (luckily) that he had feelings for me, too. We agreed to keep in touch and see where things went. One year, two visits, and many emails & hours on the phone later, we got engaged and decided to try for a K-1, and the rest will someday be history!

Dec. 27, 2010: First met each other in Entebbe, Uganda while I was visiting my friend/his cousin (12/27/10 - 1/10/11) (visited again Jul. 2-9, 2011 and Dec. 24, 2011 - Jan. 9, 2012; engaged 1/7/12)

Feb. 11, 2013: NOA1 notice date for I-485, EAD, AP (I-485/EAD NOA1 hard copies & biometrics appt letter arrived 2/16, badly mangled AP NOA1 arrived 2/27; biometrics done 3/4/13)

Apr. 3, 2013: EAD & AP approved (received card 4/11)

Same exact thing for us. My friend married her friend and they were showing me photos - I was like "who's that?" and my friend's wife looks over - says - "she's single....."

We were married a year and a half later.

"Through Friends" would have been another good option in the poll.

Annette's best friend married one of my friends - about 6 months prior to their wedding, they arranged a trip to Rome for his (British) and her (American) friends to meet.

Annette and I met, and the rest is history!

22nd January 2015: Received final divorce judgment & submitted to VSC

25th January 2015: Called USCIS Military hotline to enquire on gaining an extension in order to enlist in United States Army & was advised to make infopass appointment at local office as processing will take longer than 6 months on my application.

She was teaching English in South Korea, and I was stationed there with the United States military. We didn't start dating until a few months after we met but it was pretty much love at first sight. We were both in awe of each other after our first conversation and it wasn't revealed until 4 months later when we actually started talking to each other.

Last March, I was having trouble with my antivirus software conflicting with our tax software (we're an accounting firm), so I went to the AV company website for a solution. I then chatted with the support tech and turns out he's in the Philippines. He solved my problem and then we started chatting informally. I told him I'd like to visit there and also that I would hope to meet a Filipina. Long story short he told me to friend him on facebook and that he'd keep an eye out for filipinas wanting to marry a foreigner if I would find an american girl for him. Well he never yet found me one, but what did happen is after I friended him, Facebook started suggesting lots of Filipino and Filipina friends to me. At first I thought it against proper etiquette to do so, but eventually I said "what the heck" and I friend requested around ten of them when I finally met my fiancee this way. Along the way, few of them were scammers, a few never said a word back to me, and a few are still just friends. But I did meet a really great girl in my fiancee this way. Call it random, but it worked for us.
