“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Did anyone get any good info from their phone calls???

Well, when we called today their computer systems were down...which was a bit disappointing after a 40min wait time. They said that someone would call us back within 14 business days to respond to our query. Unfortunately hurricane Sandy is causing some work backlogs. Patience is a virtue though...well that's what I'm telling myself!

Good luck with your call!

..Yesterday 15Nov we called USCIS too. 5 months and 3 weeks since NOA1 at VSC. The answer was that Vermont is working on the K1 files reveived on 15 April 2012... How that is possible when the "Field Office Processing Dates for Vermont Service Center as of: September 30, 2012" is 14 April as USCIS website.

If anyone else called them ...what was the answer you got??

Eeks that is 100% bad news. I want to call but since I am only a little bit into my 5 months I feel I have to wait a bit longer before I go crazy on them! I look forward to seeing what kinds of response other get!

Ok, so now that I'm past the 5 months at VSC, I decided to call. Now I didn't expect much, but I figured this way when I call again in month, I can say that I've been trying and trying to find out what's up. Here's how it went for me:

1st call: Got someone who was clearly new. (I used to do QA for customer service, so its easy to tell). She threw me the company line right now that I need to wait 70 more days (in addition to the 5 months already waited). The system won't allow her to do a service request until after the 70 days. She was slow and clueless (kept putting me on hold for every question) so I called back to get someone else.

2nd call: Got another slow rep. Same info, and they transferred me to a "specialist". I decided not to let on what I know about their service, just to see how they run it.

"Specialist": Not so special. They attempted to do a service request and it would not allow them. They adamantly insisted that they could tell me nothing more than the website shows about my case. They transferred me to a "supervisor".

"Supervisor": A nice woman who called herself Officer Bilbo (apparently USCIS is attempting a cross promotion with "The Hobbit" in order to improve customer relations?). She also could not complete the service request, nor tell me any more info. She DID tell me to contact VSC directly in writing, and send a letter of request ATTN: District Director. Not sure what that will do, but I will send something, and also have my congressman send something.

If anyone speaks with Officer Gandalf let me know...maybe a wizard can get something done?

06/20/2012 -- I-129F mailed

06/28/2012 -- NOA1 VSC

12/31/2012 -- NOA2

01/08/2013 -- Left NVC

01/11/2013 -- Arrived at Embassy

01/17/2013 -- Received Packet 3

02/05/2013 -- Interview (APPROVED)

02/08/2013 -- Received Passport with Visa

02/16/2013 -- Arrive in US

Lol!! I got officer Bilbo last week. She got an attitude with me from the start. She was very adament that there was nothing the call center could do for me... I did not accept this info and she suggested I could write a letter to the Director. I was still unhappy and she agreed to have her supervisor call me back the next day but instead she called me back. She gave me a service request # but explained it was not for an update on my case... It's a request to receive the current processing time for I129F.

I have called back a few times since then. Twice the customer service at Tier 1 suggested I set up an infopass appointment and speak to an USCIS officer.

It sux, the infopass office is an hour from my home and only have working business hours... I guess I will have to take off work. Hope it's fruitful.

Thanks
