I'm another one to be added to the january filer. Filed my AOS on jan 10th they received it on the 11th. Got my NOA1 18th jan. Has anyone checked out what their status is on the USCIS? I've checked mines & it can't be found by the receipt number. I will try again a few days.

My husband received his Notice of Actions in the mail today! I wonder how soon his biometrics appointment will be. I hope they let us know at least three weeks in advance so I can notify my job in enough time to request a couple days off so I can drive my husband to the USCIS office. It kind of sucks how far away the USCIS office is. The only one in Oregon is in Portland and that is a five hour drive away. I would have to request a couple days off from work and spend a night in Portland.

We got our texts/emails tonight! I'm glad they didn't send the packet back with a big ol rejection letter slapped on. Still bracing for a potential RFE but I'm glad we're on the right track so far. It was the perfect thing to see after a stressful day of baking cupcakes and making homemade icing.. hey, baby showers are tough to cater for, okay?

And that sucks that it's so far away from you, birdygirl. NJ is such a tiny state and has two USCIS offices within an hour driving distance. :\ Good luck! At least you can make something of a trip out of it.

Before Journey:

Met online in 2002 as friends. Fell in love in 2005. Got engaged in 2010.

K-1 Journey, January 2010-July 2010:

NOA1: January 29. RFE: April 21. NOA2: June 4. Interview: July 15. Visa in hand: July 20. POE: July 22.

July 24, 2010: Married in front of 150 of our loved ones on a beautiful, sunny day. Living happily ever after and oh so thankful that 5 years of a long distance relationship and 7 months of a visa process is condensed into one line.

Wedding pictures! Because I'm shameless. http://s956.photobucket.com/albums/ae47/AmeriDaneWedding/

Adjustment of Status Journey, January 2011-March 2011:

January 25: NOA1 for AOS and EAD. Feb 5: Bio appointment received. Feb 7: RFE. Feb 11: Sent RFE response. Feb 23: AOS transfered to CSC. Feb 25: Biometrics. March 11: EAD approved! March 19: Received EAD. March 21: AOS approved! March 25: GC in hand!

And we'll live happily ever after.. for the next 2 years, anyway.

Yeah, I thought we could make a little trip of it. Maybe go to the Portland Zoo or something. :)

USCIS website says "Case not found" when checking for the status online. Any idea how long does it take to see it online from NOA data? Mine are dated 18th Jan. Also the receipt number starts with MSC. Is that correct?

Yes, the receipt number starts with MSC. I just registered those numbers to my online account at the USCIS website. That way I will get emailed when anything gets approved. It's so weird, going to that website and checking if anything has been "touched" reminds me back before we got our NOA2 for the K-1 visa. I was checking that website pretty much every day back then. It's so much nicer now though since my husband and I aren't separated this time. :)

Some people's get entered right away, and some take a while or never show up. Take a look at my signature and you'll see.

I'm the USC petitioner.

Yeah, definitely. I tried the number last night and it didn't work, but I'm not bothered. I might check every day or so for poops and giggles, but it's definitely not as bad as it used to be. I feel so bad for people with VSC right now, most of them are far beyond the 5 month processing wait and I thought 4 months was bad.

Oh hey, just tried the numbers now and they work, yay! Back to "My Case Status" every day again.
